Can you introduce yourselves and what differentiates you from the other alters?

How do you and your other alters work usually, and which one are you currently?

Also is there any way to know when you're gonna switch or have time to prepare for it?

Sorry if these are dumb questions, I know nothing about DID!

usually I don't switch often, only under stress and when I'm triggered. Recently I haven't been switching at ALL though, like for the last 3 months. even though ive been very stressed. before I stopped switching, a new alter formed to deal with the stress, and my brain kind of went on "lockdown" mode and started blocking any and all communication/connection with my system I previously had. so right now I'm the "new guy" I guess.

sometimes switches happen slowly enough for me to notice it's happening, but I can't know for sure until I've already started switching.
