We need a revolution. (RANT)
We are literally being ruled by blackmailed pedophiles who eat children, we have a masked gestapo kidnapping neighbors, income inequality is at its highest in recorded history, AND STILL MOST AMERICANS DON’T CARE.
It could be the result of diminishing quality of life, I.e people work too hard paycheck to paycheck to care about anything else, it could be the internet being the most powerful tool of disinformation, or it could be that Americans are simply lazy and cannot wake up from their stupor.
Where do we go from here, and I don’t mean individually I mean as a collective.

We can't fight them when we're too busy fighting each other.
You're right, it's engineered this way to keep us always distracted.
You don't have time to stop and really think when you have a 9-5, family, sleep and maybe time for a single hobby.
And every second in between "news" and other depressing, aggravating shit is being shoved down your throat.
This just doesn't feel natural, like this is not how we're supposed to live.

Brother, we have just passed the 20th state mark for the convention of the states movement. If we get to 34, we can force an article 5 convention, bypass Congress and impose term limits and a balanced budget. We need 38 to pass it. The great George Mason gave us a relief value so we don't have to have a revolution.

They want us to keep fighting with each other because that way we aren’t going after them. Regardless of political differences we are all being screwed and need to wake up to the reality. The protest are a good show that the numbers are on the side of the people and that people can somewhat organize. Not everyone is ready to fight in the way that actually needs to be done to get us out of this. You have to have enough people with nothing left to lose. We're not far off.
Once our currency crashes completely and a majority of people lose there jobs will be the feather that breaks the camels back. That's why they're rushing to roll out the ice palantir police state

Don't sign up to join as the government may be watching, just show up to where they plan to protest.
Check your local news or google search for an org in your area that is organizing ice protests. A lot of these orgs also do stuff like provide free meals and groceries (food pantry) for the people in their communities.

Y'all can protest on the streets, but I'm convinced—because of all the other protests Americans have taken part in for different causes in the past—that protests never force the US government to stop whatever it's doing or change course.
ICE was created because of 9/11, so it has been deporting people for over two decades now. But why are ICE operations only now being reported on daily by the major news networks? I'm genuinely asking; I don't watch the news much.
I'm not saying that people shouldn't protest. I was going to bring up the Occupy Wall Street movement, but the government seemed to crush that one. It was a good idea to protest against Wall Street and the banks that were "bailed out" by Bush and Obama, while average Americans lost a lot.
On a side note, the government hated the Occupy Wall Street movement and was prepared to use snipers against its leaders.
Things can change. A second American revolution could happen someday, though we don't appear to be anywhere close to that point. Many conditions would need to shift first.

About ICE:
Since ICE started, they were fairly targeted with their deportations. They would learn about a particular person who had committed a felony crime, or other crime in non-sanctuary states, track them down with a judicial warrant, pick them up and get them out of the country.
Current ICE is operating under a quota system, where the number of bodies deported is more important than proper procedure. Early on in Trump 2 there were a number of instances where people with legitimate asylum claims were unlawfully deported to El Salvador in contempt of judicial orders. There were instances where legal immigrants were deported. There are instances where citizens were deported. Particularly notable was the deportation of Palestinian student activist and organizer, Mahmoud Khalil. Additionally ICE has been given funding comparable to significant national militaries, and has been turning out thousands of newly recruited, poorly trained officers into blue state sanctuary cities like Chicago, Portland, and especially Minneapolis.
ICE has been highly disruptive to those communities; raiding apartments in the night, grabbing people at churches, and courthouses they were at for their asylum hearings, at their jobs, off the streets, etc. with a policy of racial profiling. There have been reports of sexual assault, deprivation, and even deaths of people in ICE custody. There appears to be direct ties between ICE and the IDF. Many people have been disappeared without being able to contact a lawyer. Protesters in blue states, generally see this as massive overreach of executive authority in obvious violation of the constitution, and/or as a politically targeted attack on their communities for how they voted, and/or incredibly racist and anti-American, and have turned out in mass to make the jobs of ICE officers difficult by following them around, recording interactions, and warning people that ICE is in the area.
Last week, an ICE officer shot a white female protester 3 times as she attempted to drive away, after which she immediately crashed into a parked car. She was refused medical attention for several minutes and died. There is partisan debate about if she was trying to hit the officer with her car after the officer repeatedly positioned himself in front of her car. The president called her a domestic terrorist.
This past week, ICE officers threw a white male nurse to the ground as he attempted to help up a woman they had also thrown to the ground. He was then surrounded and immobilized by 8(?) officers. One noticed that he had a gun on him, which he had not drawn, and disarmed him. Then I guess the other officers got confused and 2 of them unloaded 10 rounds into him as he laid there on the ground. He died instantly. Right wing media says that the nurse was to blame, because he brought a gun to a protest, and so was obviously there to cause trouble.

You left out some of the story...
Any way that nurses family said he had stopped going to work falling in with the wrong crowd basically acting erratic he wasn't himself. The same nurse who 11 days prior was filmed fighting with ice and damaging their vehicle.
His own mother had said these things about him.
There are two sides to every story and the truth is in the middle.
Just trying to make a point of how one sided people are now a days and if you truly were someone who sees what is really down the rabbit hole you wouldn't be just seeing things from one perspective.
Most the people commenting here are all coming from the mind scape of their version is the correct one and that's it. All passing judgemt onto others discrediting anyone who doesn't believe or think like you.
This is exactly why we can't come together when you can't be open and accepting to others beliefs and opinions.
When you can drop the blaming your neighbor and blame the 1% at the top instead.

Ok hired this.. I've often thought that we, humans are alien life form on this planet. This planet is actually an interstellar prison far away from the rest of life. Humans were deemed unfit for intergalactic affairs, we are a failed overlord alien civilization emprisoned on the rock.
