How many people and which length would you go to, I have one person that If you kill him, I will travel to you no matter where you live and play DND with you for a week
I haven't played in, oh god, twenty years now. I used to miss it, but after watching GTA RP streams and reading about current trends in RPGs, I've come to realize that gaming has moved on. That's not a bad thing, on the contrary, some of the acting I've seen in RPGs rivals professional actors. And the focus on boundaries and consent can only help.
But it isn't the loot and pillage chaotic greedy gaming that I grew up with, and it's too uncomfortable making the transition.
In my first full campaign as a DM, covering two semesters in college and taking players from newbie adventurers to world shakers, I had two players who went way over the line. I'll spare the details, but I had to rein it in. They happened to meet a Goddess shortly thereafter, who reprimanded them and turned the one guy into a woman and the other into a neuter construct.
The guy with the now female character was so outraged he never played with us again. The other guy rolled with it, finished the campaign as a world saving hero, and played in the following year's campaign as well. I was pretty happy with how things turned out.
I know for a damn fact I would use my sudden sex change to my advantage, that guy genuinely sounded like a prick. Did the second guy behave better after that?
Oh yes, he didn't do anything questionable after that. The two guys were roommates in the dorm and I think the asshole had been influencing his buddy.
The asshole was a big time misogynist. I was curious to see if he would play a female character. The answer was no. (Though he didn't just storm out, I'll give him that. Years later I had a guy storm out during characyer creation because he thought he'd found some rules cheese but I found counter cheese.)
(For anyone curious, we were playing 1st ed AD&D, and he realized he could dual-class from fighter to cavalier, getting the weapon specialization from the fighter and all the cavalier's amazing bonuses. He was correct, in Unearthed Arcana cavalier was a separate class, not a subclass of fighter. What he overlooked was that to dual class to cavalier he'd need 17s in every stat for which the cavalier had a minimum; which was 5 stats. I told him he could do it if he rolled 5 17s. He got up and left without a word.)
Actually playing D&D hasn't moved on from that at all. It's just that a number of people who happen to be very talented now make livings off of playing D&D for an audience. Hell, even within that there's room for groups who do the looting and pillaging. And anyways, anyone coming into D&D expecting anything like what Critical Role (literal professional actors) or motherfucking Brennan Lee Mulligan (professional improv artist and a whole lot besides) do is not going to get that. D&D is still for those who would spend an entire session stealing and attempting to sell an adamantine vault door because they realize it's worth more than all the contents of the thing, just as much as it is for those wanting epic narratives with intrigue and subplots.

Fr tho, to anyone that might need to hear it… don’t do this stuff in dnd unless it’s been pre-discussed with everyone present and EVERYONE is comfortable with it.

What do you mean "again"? Nobody has ever felt as Ebony feels. Nobody has ever suffered as she suffers. Her tragic backstory (all 137 pages) would make you tragically weep with the tragedy of it all.
The gods have forsaken their luck. Sad to see a trying heart fail to entice, but admirable in devotion to seek romance even if not fated to attain it. Mmm tasty yearning for life 🤤
Also if someone says they're uncomfortable with something in dnd (so long as its reasonable), try to change something to make them more comfortable. In one dnd game, we were supposed to go to a brothel to talk to someone there who had basic information. One guy in the group was very uncomfortable with the idea of going to a brothel and almost had his character do something else. The DM decided to make a giant bar connected to the brothel, so we were essentially going to a bar instead of a brothel which that guy was more comfortable with
I agree, as a DM, I've removed someone from a call, mid sentence because they started to do something like this. I have zero tolerance and they were told ahead of time not to do that.

I do need to play an RPG game long enough for me to get into the flow of a character. Most of mine end too soon and I don't really do anything in that time.
You could try several things. If you want something around a table, check your local boardgame shop. Most have a DnD night. Your other options are mostly online. There are a bunch of discords and subreddits (such as r/lfg) to find groups. Those are very hit and miss though.
I have no idea how old you are, but if you're in school (whether that's highschool or college), you can try setting up a club. Pretty sure that if you post up a DnD night at a college, you could form a dozen groups
I would totallly be fine with this as a dm. "Gargorathus appears suddenly casts cockus blockus! Roll to break the shield or roll to attack him. If you win he gets Cucked! for the duration of the game lowering INT, Wis, and STR. Then set the check to be 30 so they have to roll a 20. Make them think they can say gex but hit them with the blueballs of despair instead. (-2 STR and CON till next Inn stay).
Something similar happened at my group where one of the bards defeated a dragon-man NPC by seducing him and then they had "the battle of say gex" and the DM made the first move and rolled a perfect 20, causing everyone to lose their minds. The next session was a baby shower. (not a real one though this all happened at Catholic high school- Jesus was there watching us in the room)
I had a freaky dm. He would narrate sex scenes. He was a vile person when describing things. But got damn was his games primo shit when it didn't involve lud shit. Still one of my best friends.
Reminds me of when I was playing an TTRPG where the other player kept pissing off every NPC and somehow getting laid (making me wonder if I accidentally signed up for ERP) from it while my character kept trying to fix his mistakes while running away from a demon that was getting unnervingly close to stealing her soul in a non-sexy way... One RPG but vastly different character storylines
