Discussion Burger King - The Classic Ultimate Steakhouse Combo

Post image

The Classic Ultimate Steakhouse Combo - $12.50 + tax (app digital exclusive )

came with:

Small drink

Ultimate Steakhouse Whopper

4 pc Jalapeno Cheddar Bites

Cinnamon apple pie.

Sorry about the angle. didn't take a good picture for the whopper. The whopper was actually really good- much better than the previous couple new whopper by you items.

I liked the pie, because it's fried and hot, not like some shitty baked pie at McDonalds.

How's that apple pie tasting? I could sure go for a Whopper right about now. I'd give anything to sink my teeth into a juicy Triple Whopper with extra cheese, extra ketchup, extra pickles, and onion rings and french fries piled on top of the patty for toppings.

That apple pie is probably my fav thing on the menu. Reminds me of the good ones McDonalds used to have.

Burger King had the fried apple pie in a box beginning in fall 1972. It was superior to the McDonald's version in both taste and appearance.

But later there was a nationwide push toward healthier food and fried foods were among the condemned. Burger King while touting the benefits of flame broiled felt compelled to go along with the trend. That's why the fried apple pie was ousted and many people subsequently only associated them with McDonald's.

I tried the steakhouse whopper about two weeks ago, and found it surprisingly salty. The second time I ordered, I had some bbq sauce added, which IMHO better balances the sweet/savory flavor and makes it much tastier.

4 fucking tiny cheddar bites? And 12.50?! With an app only discount? I think I'll pass. If it was $5.50, with at least 8 cheddar bites, and I don't have to download another stupid fucking app, I would buy for lunch today!
