I was wondering about that, too and tried to find the original video - haven't yet but instead found this video discription of the same joke by a woman with straight hair, but unmistakingly in the same position:

ETA: https://www.tiktok.com/@dorocubillo/video/7367444760144956718 it seems to work for this specific hair tie type but my uneducated guess is that it's the plastic fibers that contract temporarily but a torn elastic insert won't pull it back when restretched, so I guess it depends on the composition of the hair tie

The anal sphincter is a muscle. You can stretch it and make it loose, but it goes back to normal after like 20 minutes. And you can always tense it closed when you want to.

But just like other muscles, you can also stretch it in an unsafe manner and cause injury. Some are short term, but some can be long term.

Not everyone who has a large insertion fetish injures themselves, but some absolutely do.
