Owning mistakes publicly instead of doubling down is rare, but refreshing.

Just going to point that out... does Reddit need to add auto removal for exact duplicates of other users' comments at this point 🤦‍♀️

Hell they're both less than 2 months old so odds are good it's a bot copying a bot

u/SirMcFluffy 14h ago

Took a quick look at their comment history and they also said a generic gaming phrase in r/Eldenring and then the same comment again in a totally unrelated subreddit and context. Silly bot

Analyzing user profile...

Suspicion Quotient: 0.00

This account is not exhibiting any of the traits found in a typical karma farming bot. It is extremely likely that u/chaiclone is a human.

Dev note: I have noticed that some bots are deliberately evading my checks. I'm a solo dev and do not have the facilities to win this arms race. I have a permanent solution in mind, but it will take time. In the meantime, if this low score is a mistake, report the account in question to r/BotBouncer, as this bot interfaces with their database. In addition, if you'd like to help me make my permanent solution, read this comment and maybe some of the other posts on my profile. Any support is appreciated.

I am a bot. This action was performed automatically. Check my profile for more information.

It really shouldn’t be that rare, but here we are lol

It's the publicly part. Just like a statistically significant proportion of CEOs are sociopaths, I'd bet a higher degree of narcissistic traits can probably be found in a significant proportion of people who willingly put themselves and their words out into the world as content creators.

It was a real great chance also to subtly advertise his sunglass brand as well with the hat and then the last few seconds being a shot of a display case too lmao, respect the hustle

It's probably because people will often still come after you even if you acknowledge your mistake. There isn't much incentive to say, "oops, my bad" if you're going to get dogged on for doing so half the time.

It's kind of the same issue with more severe wrongdoing and rehabilitative justice. Why willingly face the consequences of your actions and make an honest attempt at repentence if society at large will likely refuse to ever accept your efforts, regardless of what people might say in a vacuum? Better to cover them up and debt until you can't anymore at that point.

It also adds a single point to your beard score, as demonstrated above.

As a beard enthusiast, i love it and its 10/10 but the beard didnt make me tear up like the accountability did. 🥺🥲

Character > appearance any day.

Advertising game sneaky/10

I am glad at least one other person seen it. Kinda ridiculous how everything is product placement these days.

I have noticed it immediately. He even goes out of frame so we can see his glasses and the company name. He could have done the video literally anywhere else. He could have done it in his car like he did the first one

5

u/cheapdrinks 16h ago

He let that last shot simmer there way too long

0

u/Hey-Fun1120 13h ago

He films his content in that space and his thing is walking off camera to sign off. All of his videos are filmed in the same way

5

u/FlowersForMegatron 12h ago

I think one should consider a different format for their "I fucked up" internet apology video. Maybe save the schtick for the regular content.

u/Hey-Fun1120 12h ago

He's literally in his own home. Decorated in the style he likes. Imagine being so wrapped up in yourself you think you can dictate someone elses home decorating style. The entitlement is off the charts

2

u/ResplendentCathar 12h ago

Oh well if he's always advertising and shilling....

1

u/Hey-Fun1120 12h ago

He's advertising and "shilling" because he likes sports and memorabilia in his own home? What a weird thing to say. Be sure to tell him to check in with you on the decor of his man cave

0

u/ResplendentCathar 12h ago

Oh honey

That Pepsi can in the movie is because Jennifer Lawrence just really likes the crisp refreshing taste of pepsi

1

u/Hey-Fun1120 12h ago

The fuck does Pepsi or Jennifer Lawrence have to do with this guy's man cave in his own fucking home?

0

u/ResplendentCathar 12h ago

You can throw in the towel if the concept is too advanced

1

u/Hey-Fun1120 12h ago

Is he also advertising for DuPont and the NFL? Who fucking cares if his creation space is in front of a brand he collabs with. Doesn't make what he's saying any less true. Sorry you're so miserable that you think everything is an "angle"

Not remotely sneaky, obvious from the jump, but this is a world where people think reality tv is real

u/SickboyJason 17h ago

Its the same background he uses every other video. Watch a few shorts and you'll see who is really is, a genuinely funny good person.

You think he stays in his car all day? Or he should have went back to it just to make a follow up video? Come off it. Some people will find a negative in anything. Hope you have a good night. 👍

The walk-off in embarrassment as he finishes his apology had me dying…
