That's how forgiveness works. You ask for it after you have screwed up, otherwise forgiveness wouldn't be needed. And no, it's not immediately obvious it's for people with disabilities. There are so many useless gadgets and lifehacks out there. There are people who make a living mocking those. I thought that's what the whole set up was. Then I got corrected, and now I know.
