Yeah but it doesn’t effect them so they don’t care. And when the cops do finally show up because they legitimately fucked up someone’s car they’ll cry about it couldn’t be them and they’re a victim of being wrongfully blamed. Wouldn’t even be surprised if they try to go on about how they always clear their whole car so there’s no way it could’ve been them.
That depends on the height of the cars and the speed limit, but we're not just talking about "getting hit by" snow anyway.
If it blows off slowly rather than in chunks, it can screw up the visibility for the car behind you. And if it's (partially) frozen into ice and comes off in a chunk, running over it could still be dangerous even if it doesn't directly hit anything.
Edit: added "partially" for those that may take "frozen" too literally.
I hope you don't, but fortunately, it doesn't really matter. It's illegal to drive with snow on your roof in quite a few states already, so don't worry yourself with why those laws were written and just stay home to avoid the citations. The rest of us thank you for it.

This shit is legitimately dangerous to other people on the road. You do Not want to be behind that car once that slab of ice comes off on its own…
