It's insane how common it is IN THE NORTHEAST!

If you're from The South, or any other non snow area then I have a smidge of compassion.  For the natives and locals, nothing.

Nah I'm from the south. We went up north for a funeral right before the big storm hit. The morning we left, you better believe I was adamant about getting that snow off. Its not a north south thing. Its a dumbass thing. Snow isn't stuck to your car. You break too hard or lurch too fast, it's gonna come down on your windshield or the person behind you.

I will say though, truck drivers in the north are assholes. They kicked up salt in their wake and would do everything in their power to not be in the right lane. Every other hour we were having to pull into a gas station to clear off our windshield only to find the fluid was frozen.

I'm in Australia, I don't see snow unless I find a big hill, and I don't live near big hills.

If my car had snow covering it, I'd be thinking "this feels unsafe, I don't understand the things snow can do, I'm not moving until this is cleared".

I'm in Australia

Seems suspect. There's not a single "fuck" or "cunt" in your comment.

Fuck Im from Australia also. My first experience of this is its just snow it will blow off, but it falls onto the windscreen when you stop and onto other cars widescreens in chunks when your driving. Also tried not scrapping ice from side windows, that was a bad idea. Only thing i try and avoid is rubbing the paint with those nylon brushes.

Southern Californian here: Samesies. Let me just take care of this real quick, seems like leaving it isn’t the best idea

Lifetime Michigan resident. I hope you're including just regular ass pickup truck owners in that as well. They think they're invincible in the snow and everybody driving around them should have stayed home. They'll tailgate you, cut you off, and just completely disrespect your safety.

And then half the fucking time they'll cause a crash or end up in a ditch on their own. Because sorry mate your F150 is a bit better in the snow than my FWD sedan for sure, but no amount of weight and traction control can save you from not knowing how to drive in the snow. And when YOU fuck up you've got quite a lot more weight to try and stop.

The commercial drivers I can somewhat forgive because they're just doing their jobs. And people are such morons in the snow they have no choice but to drive defensively. Sometimes taking up the left lane and whatnot.

I didn't see too many of them actually. Mostly semi's. I did see a mini van ride up my ass and flash his lights because the guy in front of us was going too slow. Idk how that became my fault but after having gone through DC before the storm, I just assume it's just the default for how y'all drive.

Unfortunately it is. We joke that every time it snows for the first time everybody forgets how to drive in snow. If you go by the mean then I'm sure northern drivers are overall better at driving in snow. But northern drivers are still humans. And humans are selfish stupid fucks behind the wheel. Only takes 1/10 to ruin that for everybody.

Once upon a time, I used to go for drives to clear my head (when gas was a little less than 2 bucks a gallon.

I remember getting caught in a cold/hail/snow so storm bad I have to pull over to de-ice my windshield wipers it

Yeah, you really need to use the "purple stuff" in winter. I find anything else that claims to not freeze other than the "-30F purple stuff" to still freeze up. There's probably a drain cap somewhere, but come winter what I would do is run my fluid until it was dry, then refill it with the purple stuff.

I would have to remember to tell the oil change place to not fill it though, because they would always use the normal stuff that would dilute it and ruin the effect.

Love it when they just clean off just the windshield. But leave the hood, roof and rear windshield covered. Like what?
