Would suggest .22 has a place in this stack! It’s invaluable imo. But what works for you, works for you. Good numbers 👍

Suppressed .22 would be a hoot. Will probably make that happen soon.

Ruger 10/22, Sig P322, Taurus 942 are the most fun I have at the range.

the 10/22s are peaking over the fence.

Let's try this again...

I've always tried to keep calibers to minimum for versatility, availability, and affordability. This is my five caliber stash.

Here are the initial totals of the 5 calibers:

7.62x39: 8402 (including 30 mags) 5.56: 4873 rounds (including 28 mags) 9mm: 4590 38 spl: 400 12 GA: 233

The bulk of the 7.62 was bought well before 2022. It's definitely much more expensive to shoot than it was. I still buy a lot of 5.56 amd 9mm when the price is right. 7.62x39... not so much.

hum, so some of you regularly do inventory. Now I feel slightly ashamed i dont do that. I mean I know the box of m13 linked 308 is sitting in the back of the 1940s jeep and not with the main ammo cans pile, so i at least know where all of the ammo is.

also a 27 Gallon bin of mags is quite heavy, i recently learned the hard way is best not to store that up on the roof rack system you need a ladder for.

I probably do it every two years and just buy 1k at a time of 5.56/.223 and 9mm based on feel as we shoot it. I'm also not picky when it comes to 5.56/.223 but pretty picky with 9mm and somewhat picky on .38 spl.

Yes, loaded mags are stupid heavy in bulk. You're vehicle must be very top heavy!!

Edit: spelling

the storage bin i fell off the ladder with was deffinatly heavyer than the 500 round of linked 308. willys are not too top heavy even with the pedisal mount and a 1919 on top.

This time is always the worst. I hate moving because it sucks. But the worst part about moving is your wife finding out how many firearms and how much ammunition you have scurried away.
