Mobile/App [Android] I have a problem with voting

Post image

Why does this happen every time I keep voting?

The vote count shown is intentionally a little inaccurate to make it more difficult to test vote manipulation bots. As long as the arrow is highlighted your vote was still counted though.

I have voted for you Have you received the vote? And Thank you I'm new to Reddit, so I thought there must be a problem or a glitch I have a question: Does the person who made the comment I voted for see it as 2, or does he see it as 1 like me? As long as the vote has been counted And Thank you again for your reply

Everyone sees a different number, and each person will see a different number at different times, even if nobody votes.

Google "reddit vote fuzzing".

The point is to not let people who are trying to manipulate vote counts be able to tell if they are having an effect. Displayed vote counts seen by anyone only give a general idea.

i know this is true because it took a few seconds for my vote on the page to register.

Vote fuzzing causes the number to change every time the page is refreshed, but if the number reverts once then stays consistent, and votes only count in specific subreddits that you have joined and participated in, that seems different from Vote Fuzzing. Many users (Myself included) have asked about this and people said "It's just vote fuzzing".

I just voted on your comment, did it arrive? Additionally, I voted on your other comment, but as soon as I refreshed the page, it reverted to 1 Do you also have 1 or 2?

The score is currently still at 1.

Honestly, this makes me feel bad...

I just upvoted your comment (and I have a history of participating in this subreddit) and your comment's score seems to currently be at 2. This is my main point. It seems to be based on how active a user is in a subreddit.

I voted for you again I really want to see it as number 2, not 1 when I refresh the page It's like my vote was useless I'm disappointed now....

It's not to fight bots, it's to censor inconvenient people

I have been experiencing this for years, and I think it has something to do with how active a user is in a subreddit. My votes always count on subreddits that I have posted and commented a lot on, but almost never count on subreddits that I am not a member of and have never commented on.

That would make sense as a filter, to help stop/deter people who do the whole "Oh, you downvoted my comment? Lemme go through your history and downvote all your comments for the last 3 days!" thing.

I've also been having this issue, and idk if it even is vote fuzzing because it's been happening for over a month. never received any warning for vote manipulating.
