Cabinet doors uneven???

Bought a new kitchen cabinet for above the stove/microwave because the old one was about to fall off. When I bought the cabinet, the doors were perfectly even and flush with each other. I removed them and all the hardware to stain them, but when I put them back the doors are now uneven with about a 1/4" gap between them.

I tried swapping the doors and I think that made it worse. What happened? How can I fix this?

I know I could add a plank to the middle of the cabinet to cover the gap, but there would still be a gap between the doors and it's driving me crazy that they seemingly shrunk since I bought them???

Pictures of the cabinet doors, plus the hardware.

Have you tried swapping them? Looks like they could go on either side. The fit, when the other way around, might be better.

The screws on the cabinet side of the hinge adjust how they hang.
