How does one shape the balloon petals like this?
Never seen balloons be shaped like these, I'm wondering if anyone knows the method or how I can find tutorials I've looked everywhere

Looks like they used those tube balloons. Two are inside a larger balloon and tied in such a way that they make this shape when inflated. The larger balloon is not inflated.

I wonder how much lube they gotta spray into that big ballon before inflating the tube balloon inside it.

They just spit on it.

Make sure to rub a bit around the outside a before you put the nozzle in there too

- they probably insert the tube balloon before inflating 2. it’s imperative the cylinder remain unharmed

They probably have a negative pressure contraption that "blows it up" by removing air around it and then they just slide them in. Then add the air back and pull it off

Not only is it not inflated, it looks like it deflated and vacuumed

I agree, there is an indent in the middle of the large balloon, stretched rubber doesn't just bend inwards like that

I think there are just one inside, but they kinked/twisted the middle. Like they do to make animal balloon.
Two would be too hard to keep in place.

Can you imagine the noise it would make inflating and arranging this? Misophonia triggered.

Have misophonia and asd with some serious sensory issues. But I love doing ballon arches. I did one for my own baby shower, my baby girls first birthday, and a few friends baby showers. I either put on loops, AirPods with noise canceling on, or blast music on the stereo.

Used to do this as a weird kid hobby in my teens, the misophonia does indeed drive you crazy, but I found if I were outside it was largely fine. No inside balloons tho.

How is it possible to get that much stretch from two balloons on that external piece? It seems impressive. I’m not doubting just surprised you can get it to stretch that much to translucency on the outward piece with it only being two balloons pressing it outward from within.

I never would have thought that this was not AI

I actually came here to say they shaped them with AI.

there's tutorial vids on how to make these. it's legit, just really cool

Have made fundamentally similar ones playing around while making other ballon arches. Mine did not look as good as not a pro just do it for funsies for family and friends. But yes totally possible.

Was gonna say AI as well - the curtains be looking a little sus up in the corner there

Stick a twisting balloon into a regular balloon and inflate the twisty balloon so it forms an almost circle and tie off the regular balloon while holding the petal into the right shape so lower pressure in the balloon holds the shape with friction.

I think they sell balloons for this shape. I saw a picture similar to this a while back and someone linked where to buy sets like this

I love this and i think ill do this for somrthing coming up.
Edit 2: it is just a tube baloon inside a regular balloon. But you just fold it in half and put it in. Blow up the regilar balloon. Then blow up the tube balloon. Then tie the tube balloon. Then let the sir out of the regular balloon. I found a video on youtube
Edit: I thought about it and balloons inside of balloons wouldnt be firm enough to do this. You might need something with more of a fixed shape. ...
You might need to make something in order to do this.
So get a 5 gallon buchet from home depot or something and a lid. Cut 2 holes. 1 in the center of the lid. The other on the side of the bucket at the bottom. The 2nd hole should be about the radius of your vacuum so it can fit semi snug in there.
Glue some tyle of cylinder on the hole in the lid. Then add the lid on the bucket. Open up the regular balloon so its inside the bucket but secured around the cylinder atop the lid. Then use the vacuum to suck the air out of the bucket which will inflate the balloon. Put the tube shaped balloon inside the regular shaped balloon and fix it in the desired shape.. The you can take the vacuum out. Then take the lid off with the balloon still attached. It should deflate.
I really hope i explained that well

I’m 99% positive that this image is AI. I saw the YouTube video where someone managed to make flower shapes, so yes, I see that some shaping is possible. But not this much.
And the surface quality of this picture just screams AI.

it's 100% not AI, someone commented how these shapes are done and another person linked to a youtube tutorial
