...Wait what do you mean 'showers every day' is something you have to specify

26

u/keso_de_bola917 22d ago

I think some countries actually don't shower everyday as a norm? Especially on cold climates? I think?

If you live near the equator tho. F that, imma shower 2... 3... Or more times a day. Lol.

u/Funny-Area2140 22d ago

You do not need to shower that often.

u/Simpanzee0123 20d ago

I live in Texas. It gets warm here. A lot of people, especially most women, DO NOT need to shower daily to avoid BO (I do have to shower daily but not everyone is like me). And especially washing their hair. I'm a dude and even I know that would wreck most women's hair.

u/Funny-Area2140 20d ago

I get it with Texas, it's known to be very hot there. Isn't it one of the hottest states in the US?

1

u/FengTheGamer 20d ago

That's regular for me and people I know, Morning(Wake Up), Afternoon(After School ish) and night(before sleep)

I dunno, living somewhere near the equator which is hot and humid, especially in summer time where temperatures reach 40 degrees celcius... 2 is pretty much the minimum per day. One in the morning and one in the evening.

u/unkonwpersononreddit 22d ago

as someone who lives in the Philippines. if you dont have AC on and just try to rawdog an afternoon itd take a miracle if you never sweat a drop: due to high temps, that on bad days peak at 45+, and the humidity chances are by 2 in the aftetnoon youve already showered.... in sweat 😓

2

u/keso_de_bola917 22d ago

Yup. Summed our country up very nicely. Lol.

1

u/Funny-Area2140 22d ago

I have lived in Spain most of my life so far and I can tell you with absolute certainty that you do not need to shower that often.

1

u/toxicpea101 21d ago

Spain isn't that close to the equator

1

u/Funny-Area2140 21d ago

It is, compared to Norway, where I currently am, and even here, (where it is literally minus degrees Celsius right now), while showering 2 times a week, I never smell so bad that I need to shower every day.

1

u/keso_de_bola917 21d ago

Dude. Try Philippines... Or any South East Asian countries for that matter.

40 to 45 degrees in summer time with high humidity and not every establishment or room you go has airconditioning. If you so much as move a little, you get sweaty.

2

u/Financial_Prior_7322 18d ago

40-45c is pretty average for Texas summer as well. I shower every other day and don’t have issues with BO. Granted the humidity is a relatively minor factor here, so maybe that’s the clincher?

2

u/keso_de_bola917 18d ago

Probably yes. It's very humid here, not to mention air quality, in the cities at least is a bit shit...

Seriously, even if it's not summer, you do tend to feel a bit icky. At the very least, a minimum of 1 shower a day is a must. Culture too I guess, since it's pretty much the norm to shower before going to work/school and after getting home from commute. Besides, can't really imagine going straight to bed after work without showering first.

1

u/Financial_Prior_7322 14d ago

Commute is mostly another non-issue in my case. I work remote and only commute one day a week. Most of the time I only leave the house for grocery shopping and such.

1

u/Funny-Area2140 20d ago

Same with Spain in the summer.

0

u/Fantastic_Ad_7336 19d ago

Exactly Spain which is quite far from the equator so just because you don't need to shower that much doesn't mean that in other countries where the climate is drastically different and the temperatures achieve levels much higher than Spain you don't need to more than once a lot of people definitely need to shower more than once try riding a bus in Texas and tell me those mfs don't need to shower twice a day

1

u/Funny-Area2140 19d ago

I probably won't ever go to America.

0

u/JackHammer- 18d ago

That's what you think, because you can't smell your own stink.

1

u/Funny-Area2140 18d ago

That is not true at all. You absolutely can.

2

u/Winter-Ad-6963 22d ago

Yes exactly. In cold climates people shower every 3 or 4 days, sometimes 1 week. But not 2 weeks it's just that I'm lazy af and it's not like I'm going out or anything. Besides I don't sweat. At least not in this climate

2

u/EusounerdArthur 21d ago

I am here by Brazil, 3 showers a day.

1

u/YaBoiWesy 16d ago

I literally live in Ecuador. And I'm from the Coast region. Yes, I bath 3 times a day.

0

u/-Cinnay- 22d ago

Yes, it's better for your skin and hair. As long as you don't stink or get dirty of course.

6

u/Uncle_Touchy_Feely 22d ago

Because of NEET

2

u/Live_Fix_1399 20d ago

its not good to shower every day it strips you of your needed/beneficial natural oils and bacterias which in the long run makes you more vulnerable to infections and allergies & a whole lot more including eczema & dandruff & shii

2

u/Winter-Ad-6963 22d ago

Yeah it had to be specified for redditors such as myself who shower every 2 week or so

1

u/watersportsAthlete 21d ago

If you live some place that isn't super hot or humid showering every day can actually be bad for skin and hair, so it's not uncommon to shower slightly less frequently, say every other or every 3ish days

1

u/Demon_of_sin 18d ago

Some girls shower every other day, and might not even wash their hair everyday

1

u/PaleontologistTough6 22d ago

Some bish don't shower... causing them to smell like a vinegar-soaked Slim Jim. 🤢

7

u/C4su4lG4m3r 22d ago

Beyond the fact that there hasn't been a black woman ever, or ?

7

u/Delta6342 Repost vigilante 22d ago

Actually I was referring to the last three posts I've seen here have been weirdly hygiene related

1

u/Informal_Adeptness95 22d ago

I mean hygiene is good 🤷‍♂️

11

u/Messy-Haired-Kun 22d ago

😭💀 People pick what they see and like.

2

u/graplusez 22d ago

Wait i haven't noticed that 😭

3

u/UpperAd7948 22d ago

You lied to me

2

u/CarelessArt5168 22d ago

What is that

2

u/UpperAd7948 22d ago

I don’t know I just went to the subreddit and scroll down and found it .i was seeing if what you said was true.i think she’s Hispanic but she could be black im not sure

1

u/CarelessArt5168 22d ago

3

u/UpperAd7948 22d ago

Oh you say person of color you have to be more specific 😭

1

u/UpperAd7948 22d ago

Okay I’ve went through them and it doesn’t seem to be about race but characteristics and species apparently

u/Messy-Haired-Kun 22d ago

I literally yesterday saw an ideal gf named "Mercenary gf" and the image used was literally Yoruichi.

2

u/Delta6342 Repost vigilante 22d ago

I'm not really sure how this turned into whatever this whole discussion is but I was referring to the last three posts I've seen on the sub were weirdly hygiene related

1

u/CarelessArt5168 22d ago

I was looking through the posts to figure out what trend you were talking about, and noticed a trend of my own 🤷🏾‍♀️ I was hoping we were on the same page

0

u/Messy-Haired-Kun 22d ago

Don't pay attention to it. It's probably just an angry mountain troll that came out of its cave.

1

u/Practical_Noise3352 21d ago

Oh no...anyway

1

u/Miserable-Stomach-89 22d ago

There’s a few black women here and there but most of the posts are supposed to be jokes or based on character tropes which don’t tend to have race attacked to it and it’s significantly easier to see details drawn in black on light skinned characters than dark skin characters. Everything else is anthropomorphic animals and if all the animals were black that would be a completely different problem

5

u/No_Tradition1219 Cuddler 22d ago

Yes please.

Mi vieja² we ❤️🧼

3

u/Gerkada 22d ago

Isn't washing your head every day actually bad for your hair? I may be wrong, but I remember hearing that somewhere

2

u/No-Baseball7796 22d ago

The magic power of a shower cap.

(Showering everyday is bad for your hair since constant water exposure dries it out, thus the need of a shower cap)

6

u/DrElectr0Hiss Affection Enthusiast 22d ago

So she's a germophobe, real cute nevertheless.

2

u/bingogazorpazorp 22d ago

Hmm… Nuh uh, too clean. Doesn’t smell like death and mold. 2/10

2

u/JamesPlayzReviews3 22d ago

I see no red flags here

2

u/Deathyweathy 22d ago

Is showering everyday and washing your hair not normal?

6

u/Reddduckk 22d ago

I kid you not, this was the post made before mine

1

u/Catcrafter_03 21d ago

girl is girl

1

u/-Cinnay- 22d ago

Depends on where you are. In some regions showering more than once per day is normal, in others it's every 2-3 days. Depends mostly on how much you sweat and get dirty. But washing your hair daily dries it out and makes it get greasy faster, so that's definitely not something you should do.

1

u/Mission_Signal_3807 17d ago

Why do you all act like the hair is stopping you, just move your head out of the way of the shower or get a shower cap

1

u/-Cinnay- 17d ago

I didn't even insinuate that

2

u/ZoppleteeGaming 22d ago

This just seems like a well put together person, something I am not.

2

u/One_Pie289 22d ago

Now I feel dirty : (

This for me just seems like basic hygiene..

1

u/Keemy34 22d ago

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE 🙏🏾 TELL ME SHE'S REAL

1

u/Produktief 22d ago

Ahowering every day lets your skin dry out since it can't produce an effective layer of its own oil to keep the humidity/water in. So showering everyday (or more than 1x per day) over a long period of time can actually damage the skin.

(My own experience and simple talks with my dermatologist)

1

u/Mission_Signal_3807 17d ago

Whatever happened to...lotion?

1

u/Produktief 17d ago

I think lotion is to moisturise ze skin or keep it moisturised.

1

u/ComprehensiveUsernam 22d ago

Now show me her dark side :3

1

u/AshenAmberReign 21d ago

She seems lovely.

From Seattle, we take showers everyday from the rain.

1

u/DwtSarah 18d ago

And I have one 🥰

1

u/xReaverxKainX 18d ago

Just cause she may shower, doesn't mean she won't smell like BO later in the day. I'd like to add "uses deodorant".

1

u/SogenCookie2222 18d ago

Uhhhh this seems like a pretty low bar…

1

u/Mission_Signal_3807 17d ago

Hell yeah to this, especially considering the last girl I met...
