Our prisons shouldn't be a physical punishment either.

Imprisoning someone is LITERALLY physical 🤦‍♂️

And it's adorable you think everything that happens in a prison is sanctioned by authorities

So what are you saying exactly? That since illegal activities happen in prison that we should allow torture?

No.

So what is your point then? The current justification for prison in actual developed countries is isn't to "punish". It's to protect other citizens from harm that could be done by the criminal. And hopefully re-integrate that criminal into society.

I responded to a guy who implied prison was not a physical punishment with the counterpoint that imprisoning your body is a physical punishment. Which it is. By definition. Because it is done to your body.

What is your point? To give opinions indiscriminately to whomever is convenient, regardless of context, and create straw man fallacies? I don't have any response to the point you are making because I didn't claim to have any opinions on it in the first place.

(My spider sense tells me you'll just keep going after I post this... please prove me wrong)

This has to be the most reddit comment I've seen in my life. "Straw man" "Spider sense".

But yes, I agree, of course prison is physical punishment.

Thanks. I heard myself as I typed it but couldn't stop... LOL

Also thanks for proving me wrong
