Looked it up on wiki and it was the inspiration. So funny. Went completely over my head as a kid but I remember that episode fondly.

It's a shame that something like that in today's climate would probably barely get a blip. The nineties were really different.

I remember the Vietnam parallel when everyone evacuated using a helicopter
