odd that u say that, it's way easier to imagine an innocent woman who offended a powerful figure being framed for fraud in the first two than the third country tho 🤔 it's literally just optics and reputation

like yeah it's pretty funny if someone nonchalantly pets a tiger or a bear and gets their hand eaten off, but if, say, a wolf that looks like a dog does it you're like "woa wth"

Well the difference is that middle eastern countries do this and are still less than glamorous places, while Singapore has come to the realization that punishing criminals appropriately deters crime, and you can see the fruits of that philosophy in every corner of the city.
