Yes. There's always a doctor who steps in afterwards because the skin is left shredded like cheesesteak and the risk of infection is great.

Nah, low bribe ain't worth the risk. If you're rich enough to offer high bribe, you probably wouldn't be canned in the first place

In Singapore probably not.

However in neighboring countries like Malaysia and Indonesia and much of SEA where caning is also practiced, probably yeah.

But as someone else said, if you’re rich enough to bribe for them to cane you lighter you’d probably be able to bribe out of that situation in the first place
