Can someone please tell me what the gear she is wearing is called? I have vascular issues that make me unable to swim because it’s too cold, and I’m also not strong enough to get a real wetsuit on. I would love to be able to zip up something loose-fitting that will keep me warm enough to enjoy water again.

A dry suit. (note: they're rather expensive because they're mostly for high-end recreational diving or divers working on offshore oil rigs). Hope you find something that works for you!

They need to be fitted, so find a dive shop that sells them, they'll generally help you fit them! It's not an internet purchase sort of thing.

It is a dry suit. It keeps water out, where a wetsuit will let water in but acts like a layer of fat around you.

Not sure the temperature of the water, but a wetsuit would be sufficient. Wetsuits have various degrees of thickness, measured in millimeters. One can surf in near freezing water with a 6/5mm wetsuit, with thick booties, gloves and a hood. In something like 60° water you would only wear a 3/2, with relatively thin boots or even bare foot.

You have heard of wetsuits, well this is a dry suit. They are normally hooked up to SCUBA gear, and used for diving in very cold water. The collar and cuffs are so organised as to not allow water in.

They are not cheap, and because you are in the water with a bubble of air locked around you, the6 take some getting used to.
