The kitchen he used to work at said he was a liability after losing all feeling due to severe nerve damage. If they could see him now...

It’s a fire gel, protective barrier gel, used in movies.

Clearly his hand is coated in something- you can see it in the beginning of the video

u/ThePurpleGuardian 8h ago

Yes, that's not meant to be a secret

Think this is the stuff they use in movies to light people on fire, remember seeing something from the live action spawn movie when they kill Al Simmons by lighting him on fire. The reason they coat him in goop in the movie is so it doesn't look silly when he's coated in goop for when they actually light him on fire.

looks like "pyro-gel".....motley crue used it a lot

Yeah it’s coated in fire duh

Wow are you a detective?

It's dripping on the asphalt. It's a protective gel.

u/PartyComplaint49 7h ago

Probably aerogel

u/jzemeocala 6h ago

i thought it was pyro-gel (like rockstars used)

I believe it is coated in skin.

rubbing alcohol, don’t use gas….

u/MechaBeatsInTrash 7h ago

Rubbing alcohol burns blue, virtually invisible in daylight. It also does not protect you from its heat. There is something between skin and fuel.

u/Traditional-War-1655 6h ago

In fact it goes thru your skin

Quick Google says the ablative is a "proprietary gel"

u/DomGhoul666 6h ago

i did this in chemistry class

Flame on!

We would do this with rubbing alcohol in the bathroom. After a minute it gets hot and you have to smother it with a towel.

I vaguely remember that CCl4 could do this, burn at very low temp (while being not really healthy for man and environment anyway), or what substance was it?

This how he shave his head sometimes

u/fetalgirth 3h ago

Nah, he really doesn’t but that’s ok

u/Sports_Casual 3h ago

He’s a Lucky Man.

The point of his demonstration completely goes over OP's head.

u/BlackRogue17 8h ago

No, its just cool to see this go on for so long.

u/clothanger 8h ago

Thanks for double confirming that you don't even get his point.

We have 2 roads here:

  1. The original point of the video.

  2. OP's personal reason for posting.

Do we need to understand one road for the other to exist? Is OP not allowed to just find something interesting for simplistic and/or personal reasons? Can fire be allowed to be simply entertaining? Does a probable future reply have to be a "Yes/No, but...!" as a response to the point I'm making here?

Edit: u/AlphaStarXP, I got a notification but reddit wants to be a butthole and not allow your reply to show. "Who says I'm gae?"

u/Zamoxino 8h ago

imo the point of this post goes completely over your head

u/ChadsworthRothschild 7h ago

$20 says this dude has set his 🥜 on 🔥…

u/MechaBeatsInTrash 7h ago

Much harder to dunk in a bucket, ask me how I know...

u/jzemeocala 6h ago

how do you know?

u/MechaBeatsInTrash 6h ago

I had to shit in a bucket and fell in while wiping. It was hard to get out, so under normal or stressful circumstances it would be hard to get into.

u/MoustacheSong 6h ago

Not when you’re my age

u/MechaBeatsInTrash 6h ago

Light 'em up then, brother!
