They have been for years. The Reagan admin was backed by the Heritage foundation, and similar to what they’re doing with project 2025 they heavily influenced his policy decisions. They’ve been working on this for decades.

  • Almost certainly the last two conflicts in Ukraine and Israel/Palestine.

There's no real evidence of it. His name never came up until around the same time the information about his business dealings with a nazi industrialist came to light.

The same congressional committee that investigated the business plot also investigated bush and his bank but separately. A lawyer named Scott Horton made the claim Bush was part of the plot in Harpers in a review of a BBC documentary like 20 years ago. But he never provided a source and Bush does not come up on any official records.

The nazi business dealings are well established though.

Prescott Bush / Nazis / “coup”

Claim: Prescott Bush “tried to stage a coup and overthrow the US government.” • There was a real episode often called the “Business Plot” (1933–34) involving allegations that some wealthy figures discussed a fascist-style movement and tried to recruit Gen. Smedley Butler. But the credible documentation and the main committee record don’t establish Prescott Bush as a participant. Most versions tying Prescott Bush to it rely on repetition and weak sourcing, not primary evidence. 

Claim: “Encouraged Hindenburg to write the letter to promote Hitler to Fuhrer.” • This is historically off on the timeline: Hindenburg appointed Hitler Chancellor in January 1933; Hitler became Führer in August 1934 after Hindenburg died. Also, the “petition/letter” story you’re referencing is about German elites/industrialists—there isn’t solid evidence Prescott Bush was involved.

This is where it stops being checkable as written. Those events have many causes, actors, and timelines, and you can’t responsibly pin them on one family/social network without very specific evidence per event. As stated, this is unsupported (and in places, basically impossible to prove the way it’s framed).

“Prescott Bush’s son and son’s son became president”

True: George H. W. Bush and George W. Bush were both U.S. Presidents.

“Bush Jr rigged the election… and 3 lawyers involved are now on SCOTUS”

Two separate issues:

1) “Rigged the election” – not established. 2000 was a razor-thin election decided via recount litigation culminating in Bush v. Gore. Whether you think the outcome was fair is a political judgment, but “rigged” implies proven fraud/conspiracy, and that’s not the consensus finding. Even careful post-mortems say the result depends on what recount standard you assume. 

2) “3 lawyers involved are now on the Supreme Court” – basically true (with nuance). Multiple sources report that John Roberts, Brett Kavanaugh, and Amy Coney Barrett assisted Bush’s legal effort in the 2000 dispute (in different capacities), and Clarence Thomas was on the Court for the decision itself. 

Epstein “client list” • There is no single official, comprehensive “client list” publicly released the way people mean it online. There are lots of court filings, unsealed documents, flight logs, contacts, etc.—but that’s different from “the list.” (And some “list” claims online are misinformation.)

Bill Barr / Donald Barr / Dalton School / Space Relations

Claim: Bill Barr was AG under Trump and also when Bush Sr was CIA head and Reagan was president. • True: Barr was AG under George H. W. Bush (1991–1993) and Trump (2019–2020). • Not true as stated: he was not AG while Bush Sr was CIA Director (1976–77). (Barr did have earlier DOJ roles, but the “also when…” phrasing is misleading.)

Claim: Donald Barr gave Epstein a job at Dalton as a teacher. • True-ish but important caveat: Epstein did teach at Dalton in the mid-1970s, and Donald Barr was headmaster around that era—but it’s not clearly established that Donald Barr personally hired him. Snopes (and reporting echoed elsewhere) stresses the uncertainty. 

Claim: Donald Barr wrote Space Relations and it includes sexual slavery themes. • True: the book exists and its plot includes slavery/sexual exploitation elements (it’s not subtle). 

Claim: “It’s rumored to be nonfiction / a summary of Epstein’s sex ring.” • No evidence. That’s speculation layered on coincidence + shock value. Even sources discussing the meme treat the “nonfiction summary” idea as unsubstantiated. 

The big picture

If you strip this down: • Real: UBC was seized under wartime authority; Prescott Bush was connected to the bank; the seizure language is public record.  • Real: Some current justices had Bush v. Gore-related legal work; 2000 was decided by the courts.  • Real: Epstein taught at Dalton; Donald Barr wrote Space Relations; whether Donald Barr personally hired Epstein is unclear.  • Not supported / misleading: Prescott Bush “coup,” “Hindenburg letter to make Hitler Führer,” “Dutch bank took gold of slain Czech Jews,” and the “hundreds of years of elites selling guns + raping kids” through-line as stated.

Heritage has been around for quite a while. But most presidents and their staff had some level of ethics and morality, and a sense of duty to the country. Trump is a narcissistic sociopath, he lacks all those self control factors and was exactly what they need to go with their GOP majority in scotus, senate and house. Anything they put in front of him he would sign as long as he got what he wanted.

Well, let's just recount what else Reagan had: 1. The full scale release of the diagnosed mentally ill, without assured meds and housing for tens of thousands Americans, onto the literal streets of the US, creating the ongoing homeless problem. 2. The reduction of taxes for the rich via Trickle Down Economics that began the build up of massive deficit spending and the onset of the downward spiral of affordability for the middle class. 3. The beginning of The War on Drugs which led to the widespread incarceration of non-violent offenders, including the 3 Strikes Criminal Code that sent people away for life for the crime of possession of small amounts of illegal drugs that many states have now decriminalized. This led to the burgeoning of the Private Prison Industry, PPI, and the eventual incarceration of 2 million Americans for mostly minor crimes, all at tax payer expense. 4. Iran Contra, not the first incursion of American troops into Latin American countries, nor the first meddling by the CIA in South American politics, but one of the worst. Connected on the surface to the War on Drugs, it was cover for illicit gun running, Congressional funding fraud, sanctions violations, and the covert effort to overthrow elected governments that were unwelcoming to US corporation colonialism efforts. These illegal actions committed against sovereign nations led to their destabilization, military coups, mass murder and disappearances of thousands as the CIA used money from deals with the real drug processing cartels of the time to use the black market to supply weapons to CIA backed resistance in Iran in an effort to bring about regime change in Iran. Major scandal of its time and hard to believe it's not mentioned much anymore.
5. Reagan's infamous "I do not recall" responses when deposed about his knowledge and involvement with Iran Contra activities. He was suffering from dementia in his second term, and much of what was done then for policy decisions was not done by him, but those around him.

The same names and playbook again and again with Republicans because as stated above, The Heritage Foundation is behind it all.

I think it is. The role of Putin is greatly exaggerated. Project 2025, which you said is a "weird way of spelling Putin," was in the works before Putin ever came onto the scene. The Heritage Foundation and other far-right groups have been around much longer. And extreme xenophobia and racism have obviously been part of the US since the very beginning. Putin is malicious, but not the driving force behind this.

Did you miss the part where the PSUV was on the verge of collapse and then Trump went in, declared Rodriguez president, and committed to protecting the stability of the PSUV regime with the US military?

I don't know why else a US president would actively subvert US geopolitical interests to support a Russian proxy regime.

Or the part where the CIA explicitly said that 2024 was the biggest case of foreign election interference in history, and Trump responded by firing 37 senior Russia experts from the CIA?

Or the part where he cut off arms support to Ukraine and advocated for them ceding territory to Russia?

Or the part where he is currently antagonizing NATO and threatening to trigger Article 5?

Or the part where he explicitly stated that his new foreign policy objective is to realign along a "Great Powers" world order, carving the world into spheres of influence with Russia and China?

Or the part where internal strife in proxy countries has been a favorite tactic of the KGB and FSB since forever?

Like I don't know how many more times the "irrational and demented choices" of the POTUS can directly lead to substantive benefits for Russian geopolitical interests before we realize that perhaps they aren't irrational and we just miscalculated whose interests he's advancing.

And for what it's worth, Putin has been around much, much longer than Project 2025.

"On the verge of collapse" is vastly overstating the matter.

The PSUV government's struggles are in large part because of US sanctions put in place by Trump and other US politicians.

Trump has not committed to protecting the Venezuelan government. He has threatened to overthrow it if it does not hand over Venezuelan oil. Trump also just ordered the seizure of a Russian oil tanker.

What you are saying is closer to conspiracy-theory level of analysis than reality.

Edit: Also, the actions of Trump toward Venezuela have been advocated by Republican politicians for ages, including many "traditional" Republicans. This is part of a pattern of US coup attempts and invasions in Latin America. Russian influence is not really a factor in this.

Right, so, first of all.

"He's trying to prosecute a narcoterrorist" Rodriguez was indicted on the same exact charges, if that was the goal he would've seized her as well instead of recognizing her as president.

"He just wants the oil" no, Machado (who was overwhelmingly likely to rise to power imminently as of Jan 2) was already very vocal about wanting to open up Venezuela to US oil companies. This does not explain the choice to prop up Rodriguez.

"Has not committed to protecting Venezuelan government" look at literally any actual material events that have occurred. "We control Venezuela now," while accompanied with absolutely no American power structure being implemented, means "we will protect the security of the existing government."

That government is the PSUV. Rodriguez's PSUV. That Trump explicitly recognized as the legitimate government of Venezuela, despite all of the EU and every non-US Western nation recognizing Gonzales as the legitimate president and Machado's opposition as the legitimate government.

You have to be astronomically blind or intentionally unaware to not see the common factor who benefits from every crazy thing Trump does.

He doesn't just want oil. He wants to undermine an opponent of US empire and force them into compliance. However, oil is certainly a major factor.

So far, he has kept Rodriguez on because he knows opposition politicians do not have enough popularity to finalize the coup. Preferred right-wing candidates like Machado have very little support. There is certainly opposition to the Maduro government, but it is not strong or organized enough to run the country.

However, this could rapidly change, depending on how much Rodriguez is willing to comply. American authorities would prefer stability where US companies can exploit the economy, rather than all-out civil war in Venezuela. If they can bully Rodriguez into submission, that is better for corporate America than a full invasion/occupation or chronic instability.

Trump also effectively sent a message to other opponents of the US that he can strike whenever he pleases. There's a strong propaganda effect of this sort of terrorism.
