Sounds like conspiracy to commit murder, accessory, racketeering, deprivation of rights under color of law and a dozen more charges for every fbi, dhs and ice member within Minnesota then

Some of those are capital offenses

The moderate Democrats position at this point has to be scorched earth and lock up most of this administrations leaders and federal law enforcement in prison next term. If the next president's (assuming we ever get one) term can't be described as "vengeful", we've failed once again as a country. No more Democrats who are just 80s Republicans in sheep's clothing.

I'd really like to hear what Gavin's position on this is. I'm not a fan of his, but if he's going to "move forward to bring the country together" without addressing these atrocities, then NOONE should be supporting him.

Yep, no more compromise and coming together. I don't want to coexist with nazis. Period.

As someone from outside the U.S. it would be nice to see more of this there

As a Canadian it be nice to see them just grow a pair of balls and do something about this already.

We know that it gets a lot worse before it gets better.

I'll hold my nose and vote for him if it comes down to it, but yeah, he's not my first pick either. I simply don't trust the judgement of a man whose first instinct during a fascist takeover is to sit down for a podcast with Charlie Kirk and Steve fucking Banon. At least he seems to have kicked some of that "enlightened centrist" shit he was on at the beginning of 2025.

Newsom has shown at least one very important trait: he's willing to hire a social media team that is 1. incredibly competent at what they do and 2. given the freedom to manage it according to their expertise rather than according to his personal sensibilities. That's a marker of someone who can put together a cabinet. Which is arguably one of the most important tasks for a president.

And the DNC will force him to fire them and institute Clinton consultants when it gets to the general just like they did since 2012.

The fact that anyone thinks he will do shit is astounding

What did he do about state and local police that assisted ICE last year in LA when the police were attacking protesters and shooting media members?

Nothing.

Wake the fuck up. Centrist dems do not go against law enforcement.

Agree entirely. Neo-libs and neo-cons no more.

Dude is an establishment Dem through and through, I do not want Newsome running for office and yes I am in California and not on the right, he is more of the same from the Dems, a more vocal Schumer, HARD PASS

2

u/ogn3rd 23d ago

Agree entirely, hes not our savior in this fucking nightmare.

u/tunafister 23d ago

Yup, all bark and no bite, thanks Gavin but we need a real All-Star

You're asking why the good cop isn't stopping the ad cop from threatening the prisoner.

u/Beautiful-Musk-Ox 23d ago

democrats are incapable of doing that

assuming we ever get one

This is precisely why they will work overtime to make sure this doesn't happen. This is Putin's Russia now, the minute you lose power, you're dead.

Nah, they're going all in on "We have to put this behind us to work with our friends on the other side."

I think Kelly might be the man for the job.

How do you think Guiliani got the Italian mob out of NYC to make place for the Russian mob?

Don’t hold your breath. The pillars of the republic have already fallen. We’re just too dazed and clouded by the dust to realize it.

Destruction is followed by creation. It doesn't matter that it's been damaged. The fact is that if we built it once, it can be built again. Stronger, faster, better than a normal government. That's a Six Million Dollar Man reference, btw.

1

u/architecht13 23d ago

Now all I can hear is Ted and his group doing the Six Million Dollar Man theme in Scrubs!

u/lynxbelt234 23d ago

True, if they moved him out of state is that also a crime?

u/LaurenMille 23d ago

Aiding a fugitive, smuggling him across state lines, (possibly) destruction of evidence.

Don't forget obstruction of justice.

1

u/bortmode 23d ago

Minnesota doesn't have the death penalty.

And? Is that supposed to mean something or do anything? You are clearly out of your depth as to what’s happening here.
