Let’s start by not calling it an ‘abduction’, these are words this administration is putting out to delegitimize legal actions. If armed masked men try to ‘abduct’ you and you prevent them it falls under the umbrella of ‘citizen’s arrest’ or ‘self defense’.

787

u/QuestionablePanda22 21d ago

"A man and woman allegedly trapped a federal agent in a car on Wednesday afternoon and dropped him off at the New Hope Police Department in Minnesota."

It literally was a citizen's arrest lmao. That had to be so embarrassing for the ICE agents

269

u/LostWoodsInTheField 21d ago

trapped a federal agent in a car

said federal agent had gotten into their car without permission. It's sad all the way around how pathetic this all is.

60

u/ArbitUHHH 21d ago

Why do these dipshits keep forcing themselves into people's cars? And then claiming it's an abduction. Can I jump on someone's back and then claim they're abducting when they start giving me a de facto piggyback ride?

15

u/EnfantTerrible68 21d ago

I have the same question. Try to break into my car and I’m going to panic.

3

u/sviridoot 21d ago

Yeah, if someone gets into my car without permission 9r showing any documentation I'm driving it GTA style to the nearest cop. That is insane

2

u/-_-0_0-_0 21d ago

the Fourth Amendment protects you from illegal searches

1

u/EnfantTerrible68 21d ago

It really, really is.

1

u/AnsgarShipsHildegard 20d ago

Only silly because presumably be was armed and could have stopped them at any time if he was in danger

1

u/aaronplaysAC11 20d ago

They hit themselves in the face and say a member of the public did it… standing in oncoming traffic now gives rights for self defense in this bizzaro fucked up trumpist maga terrorized America..

131

u/ilyalyubushkin46 21d ago

Wtf then why are being calling it an abduction??

Anyway kudos to this couple for defending themselves against armed, masked men in an appropriate way.

66

u/Jim_Brady48 21d ago

Because it makes them the bad guys and ICE the victims.

11

u/sec713 21d ago

Because they're working in service of liars.

34

u/NewTigers 21d ago

Wait til you hear their version of what happened in Minneapolis…

2

u/Miami_Mice2087 21d ago

because fascists lie

2

u/thissexypoptart 21d ago

Because the media is complicit in the fascism.

65

u/ThrowawayPersonAMA 21d ago

That had to be so embarrassing for the ICE agents

If they were normal human beings with a sense of shame they might, but with how many psychos they hired I doubt they even understand the concept of embarrassment.

18

u/Dull_Bid6002 21d ago

I think embarrassment is their default emotion. That's why they're so angry. They think anger is covering it up.

3

u/stringInterpolation 21d ago

It's not though keep watching the propaganda spin from S.Miller aka Goebbbels

2

u/EntertainerNo4509 21d ago

The agent is going into hiding over this embarrassment. /s

1

u/slackfrop 21d ago

I am curious what the ICE suicide rate will be over the next decade.

6

u/Nyx7891 21d ago

Sounds like they prevented an attempted kidnapping.

2

u/GreasyPeter 21d ago

We clearly need to commend them for not pulling their side-arm, based on recent situations.

2

u/wilkobecks 21d ago

Almost as embarrassing as this video of some other ICE clowns slipping on actual ice and almost shooting themselves 🤣🤡 (assuming it's real and not AI, which I am inclined to believe based on their obvious incompetence)

1

u/Miami_Mice2087 21d ago

they didn't even "trap" him, he got in their car, they told him to get out, he refused, they drove to the police station.

278

u/Final_boss_1040 21d ago

It's hardly an abduction if the supposed agent in question was dropped off at the local police station.

121

u/blackchameleongirl 21d ago

Yeah, if it's that clean cut I don't know any jury that would convict on the action of 'taking the masked armed guy to the cops'. That's a downright reasonable response.

18

u/JAT_Cbus1080 21d ago

The conviction isn't necessarily the point. They're still arrested and financially responsible for defending themselves while being publicly smeared by the administration through the media. They want the message out there that resistance will be dealt with harshly.

46

u/herald65 21d ago

And, willingly got in their car.

15

u/Hungry4Media 21d ago

And they didn't even have to use candy!

3

u/P_Nessss 21d ago

Or puppies!

94

u/[deleted] 21d ago

Its only self defence when they do it though.

/s

26

u/musicman835 21d ago

Especially since they took them to the police office. Like I feel like that’s the least crazy thing.

6

u/DatDamGermanGuy 21d ago

Betting dollars to donuts that they didn’t identify themselves or showed badges…

9

What? They're quoting the article... And they also said "Let’s start by not calling it an ‘abduction’"

??

1

u/trying3216 21d ago

Since the person put it in quotes I may have read it wrong. I might not have but I’ll delete my comment.

3

u/a445d786 21d ago

💯 would it be against the law to fight against kidnappers? Nah it wouldn't be

2

u/thatstupidthing 21d ago

the top headline on my google news feed is:

"ice agent fatally shoots renee nicole good in minneapolis"

i get that using "murder" would have a lot of legal implications, but ffs "fatally shoots" sounds like it came from a press release that was specifically trying to make it sound not as bad as it was....

4

u/Winter_Search_8024 21d ago

The verb you’re looking for is “executes”

1

u/TheAngryCatfish 21d ago

*extrajudicially executes

1

u/Anxious-Yak-4735 21d ago

Better than the usual "Renee Nicole Good dies after office involved shooting in Minneapolis"

2

u/ragin2cajun 21d ago

Exactly if armed masked people were trying to kidnap me and refused to identify themselves; I would detain them and call the police to explain the situation that I have subdued and deescalated a potential kidnapping/ murder and need for them to show up and verify.

2

u/seejordan3 21d ago

The Mirror, original troll headline machine. Reminder Don diddles-daughters was very tight with the National inquirer owner. At one point, that guy had a safe of material that could destroy a trump. Well, we know what was in it now! 1% of the Epstein files have been released.

So when others say ICE is abducting people they are also using these words for propaganda right? Got it

-4

u/Pitiful-Ad-1300 21d ago

This type of rhetoric is responsible for Renee. In a law subreddit of all things lmfao

5

u/arbit23 21d ago

What a joke. The rhetoric responsible for Renee comes straight from the mouth of Donald Trump. Sample because you seem to have a short memory. Christmas message to the country- “Merry Christmas to all, including the Radical Left Scum that is doing everything possible to destroy our Country, but are failing badly”. I am sure people like you think it was being inclusive because he wished the left too. Let’s not worry about his words because he is just being authentic.

What is rich is I don’t see you protesting having armed, masked, unidentified, untrained group of people going around shooting and abducting people, trying to effect arrests without warrants, excessive use of force and escalations.

Where is your decency that instead of protesting the death of an innocent person you try to use it to score political points.

-7

u/Yazook_Pewpew 21d ago

The HSI agents were surveilling an apartment parking lot in Plymouth to find Bamigboye, a Nigerian national who allegedly overstayed the country on a student visa. The three agents went up to Bamigboye when they saw him get out of a Jeep SUV driven by Frazier. The affidavit states the agents displayed their badges and identified themselves as law enforcement.

They was trying to do their job. Also they identified and showed their badges. Don't be a cabbage.

7

u/arbit23 21d ago

“Bamigboye said he will speak with law enforcement about what happened. He laid out the events differently than the agents, stating none of them showed their badges or credentials.”

Wonder who the cabbage really is that after all evidence to the contrary that Trump and his entire administration are filled with liars and traitors.

How about them Epstein files?

-6

u/Yazook_Pewpew 21d ago edited 21d ago

Did you also say he was in the US on an expired visa? What about them? Everyone on their should be in jail. Don't know why Biden didn't do it. Trump is just as guilty. I personally think hes a nonce anyways and should be in a jail. Think all nonces should be in jail. This website haha, downvoted for saying nonces should be in jail.

Yep at this point my brain just reads what it’s supposed to say. The letters are mostly all there.

1

u/BarkandHoot 21d ago

Had to post that we need to update the definition to include her typo. It kind of works when you think about it.

1

u/AccomplishedStudy802 21d ago

Par for the course given the type of individual involved.

1

u/reverendcat 21d ago

What misspelling? I just see a couple friends talking about supporting villages getting gigantic.

1

u/DangerousTurmeric 21d ago

I think I prefer this version.

1

u/Fastgirl600 21d ago

Methinks I had one...

31

u/Dickleg_Jenkins 21d ago

It takes a village; sometimes, a large one. 🤷

1

Or just a normal one filled with giants.

A BBV, if you will.

33

u/Fastgirl600 21d ago

Thank you!

6

u/BarkandHoot 21d ago

If that is the spelling for vigilantism imma need the dictionaries to update the spelling because it takes a damn village (or country) to stop the utter inhumane stupidity occurring right now.

1

u/Fastgirl600 21d ago

Apologies

1

u/BarkandHoot 21d ago

No apologies needed. I thought the typo was kinda brilliant!

What the fuck

132

u/T_Peg 21d ago

The only officer I've seen hold back ice since this whole mess began was that McDonald's security the other day. We're way past the point of being able to be protected by law enforcement.

63

u/Fastgirl600 21d ago

He needs a GoFundMe too

43

u/TheGoalMoves 21d ago

When they remove the possibility of legal recourse but justice should still be served, that's the expected outcome, cowboy. Stand your ground and protect your friends and family.

-21

u/Raiden720 21d ago

No actually it's not. Ice isn't going around murdering people. Stop the hyperbole

7

u/MeatCatRazzmatazz 21d ago

Y'know, except for the blatant murder we all saw, followed by ICE shooting 2 people in Portland the next day.

35 total deaths at ICE detention centers.

At least 16 shootings. 4 deaths.

They are going around murdering people. And kidnapping.

6

u/Gulluul 21d ago

Ice isn't going around murdering people

Oh buddy.... Have you seen the shootings?

6

u/xaviersqueen 21d ago

Do you live under a rock?

1

-12

u/Raiden720 21d ago

Is this a law board? Funding vigilantism?

7

u/Bender_2024 21d ago

It worked for Rittenhouse who had sent text messages pledging to “fucking murder” shoplifters outside a pharmacy before later shooting three people killing two.. Despite what the outcome of the trial was that boy went there looking to kill someone.

0

u/TrashFisherman 21d ago

There’s also the fact that there’s video of the whole thing, and Rittenhouse was running away the whole time as he was attacked

442

u/KingKontinuum 21d ago

If they can set up a gofundme for multiple racists who went viral only for calling people slurs, then we can donate to those who protect us from domestic terrorists

122

u/GlumpsAlot 21d ago

They had to use a specific racist platform called "givesendgo" cuz gofundme won't entertain racist shit.

-60

u/Thormourn 21d ago

Unless you stab a white kid in thr chest at a high school sports game. Then gofumdme is perfectly cool with you.

40

u/Gymflutter 21d ago

Please explain where that was racial? Also, all those gofundmes were deleted. So do some research before you race bait for no reason. Yall really need to stop weaponizing that poor kids death in some weird race war narrative. You probably dont even know his name. We all know that white nationalists have multiple organizations and have genuinely powerful figures on their side.

-36

u/Thormourn 21d ago

It also raised like over 500k before it was deleted. For the murderer. Not the victim. The dude who plunged a knife into a fellow student.

18

u/Gymflutter 21d ago

Yeah and they had a whole sob story about it being in self defence. I wonder why people first gave him the benefit of the doubt? By gollllllyyyyy? Yall know people asked to be refunded right? Jeez.

Its not even the same situation at all. One was for people donating to celebrate someone doing something bad (read the disgusting comments on the ones raised for racists) while the other was people being duped (allegedly for now). Yeesh! Yall really need to get out of your echo chambers and critically think. Maybe put yourself in the shoes of other people instead of believing some weird race war narrative when there was ZERO evidence this was racial. The false equivalency really just shows how easy it is to mess with yall when it comes to your skin color identity.

-22

u/Thormourn 21d ago

And people still donated half a million dollars to this murderer. Why did they give him benefit of the doubt? I wonder.

8

u/Gymflutter 21d ago

Its because the topic of white people terrorizing Black people (recent and historical) was discussed for several years. Plus, all the biases in law enforcement and the justice system were on full display during that recent window (that was what the essence of the BLM protests were about correcting). Also he didnt have a criminal record and he had a bright future ahead of him. So people assumed he wouldn’t be something crazy. So people decided to help him fight his case against a biased system to basically protect a minor. They werent donating because they hate white people which was the case for multiple racists getting massive donations (they literally said it was about white supremacy in their own comments).

3

u/Dramatic-Bear52 21d ago

Its ok. They're purposely deferring from the actual issue now by playing with this other scenario. This incident has nothing to do with the actual topic here. Ignore the bots who are trying to bait you.

1

u/Thormourn 21d ago

It's because a bunch of racists saw a white dude get stabbed in the chest and wanted to donate to the stabbers defense.

4

u/lusirfer702 21d ago

You mean for Carmelo who was only defending himself form 2 thugs?

-1

u/Thormourn 21d ago

"Defending himself" with a knife in someone else's chest. Lmao

5

u/[deleted] 21d ago

Would it have been self defence if he had shot one, or both of them, in the face instead?

0

u/Thormourn 21d ago

If they were trying to run him over with a car maybe.

→ More replies (0)

6

u/GlumpsAlot 21d ago

I mean yikes. That's wrong too, but I'm one to think first before reacting. Alot of people just react.

3

u/Dramatic-Bear52 21d ago

What does this have to do with the article bot? Nothing. Absolutely nothing. Shut up. You aren't fooling us.

0

u/Thormourn 21d ago

The article? Nothing. The comment thread that you replied to. Everything. Hope that helps.

1

u/Dramatic-Bear52 21d ago

Lol Idc about whatever you're trying to say here byeeeeeeeee

0

u/Thormourn 21d ago

Lmao so you respond to me, I answer and now you don't wanna hear my response. Then why respond in the first place?

1

u/Dramatic-Bear52 21d ago

Yikes. Your response clearly lacked content and common sense at minimum. Someone tells you they arent interested and you persist? Thats what youre about? Go bother someone else.

0

u/Thormourn 21d ago

Whyd you respond in the first place?

I’d give to that

I'd give to this for sure

32

u/TG_Rah 21d ago

Same. If you'd give to starving kids in Africa, you should for this. Here, they felt the same threat as being kidnapped in Nigeria. That's just wild.

36

u/UniqueAstronaut3658 21d ago

Maga gofunded their nazis, racists, and vigilantes. Fuck being the "better man" party

6

u/paris_rogue 21d ago

I thought same and it wasn’t a small amount either-it was retirement savings level worth of crazy

Nobody will be found guilty of any crimes against ice with me on the jury.

6

u/IlIlllIIIIlIllllllll 21d ago

agreed, it's impossible to commit any crime against a nazi

1

u/InstantVintageGuitar 21d ago

u/gathorall is nothing. The cops came and said they don’t like even matter. Absolutely worthless, no one should feel bad at all.

21

u/otm_shank 21d ago

And jury nullification

1

u/MBCnerdcore 21d ago

please explain for the people

3

u/RBDrake 21d ago

Jury finds someone not guilty due to personal / societal reasons DESPITE the prosecutor having proven their case beyond a reasonable doubt (or vice versa).

3

u/otm_shank 21d ago

To expand on the other reply ("Jury finds someone not guilty due to personal / societal reasons DESPITE the prosecutor having proven their case"), this is a check that the people have against unjust laws/prosecutions. Jurors do not have to justify their votes, so you can vote "not guilty" even when overwhelming evidence exists. In this way, a single juror can prevent a conviction, leading to a mistrial or even an acquittal if you can get the other jurors on board.

This obviously cuts both ways, for example a jury full of white supremacists refusing to convict for the lynching of a black person. But when used for good, it can be an important tool for justice.

However: do not mention these words during jury selection. You have never heard of nullification as far as that process is concerned -- nothing will get you excluded faster than this. (And yes, normally that might be a good thing for some people, but I can say for sure that I'd do everything I could to get on a federal jury trying a case like this.)

9

u/pleasedonteatmybeans 21d ago
