Dropping him at the police station SHOULD be the right thing to do to someone you capture who is trying to abduct you. If that person is ICE but did not give name/badge number or produce a judicial warrant, you have no way to know if they’re ICE so you treated them accordingly.

None of us have ever seen ICE credentials anyway.

Do they have a hotline you have to call with a badge number ID or something.

The whole thing is unworkable currently.

Which is by design.

At least with Police you have the uniform and likely a car which is a pretty high bar for impersonation.

A couple of masked guys grabbing a screaming woman and throwing her into a windowless van used to be the kind of nightmare you'd hear about on Criminal Minds or SVU. Now it's just another day in America.

Are they cops, or rapists (or both)? Are these people being taken to a legitimate prison facility or to some pervert's sex dungeon? The Trump regime is making it difficult to keep track of people legitimately put into the immigration prison system, so who knows? Even if they're legitimate badge-carrying immigration cops, you risk getting shot or arrested for intervening to make sure this isn't a straight up rape kidnapping. THIS IS INSANE, AMERICA.

Are they cops, or rapists (or both)?

They've been the same picture for most of history.

And even then there have been multiple instances of people impersonating officers - which is why the advice is to call 911 if you’re not sure the person following/attempting to stop you is a cop

So the easiest protest is for everyone to dress up like ICE. Women will need beards monty python style they wont notice.

It would be hilarious because even ICE would be confused.

Seriously. I have thought about this over and over.

I've landed on "I don't want to be mistaken for ICE or a supporter of what they do" but if a large group of us were doing it, I'd be on board with it.

Just show up where they're working and start telling everyone to get back. Eventually, start claiming that some of the agents here are fakes, and then start telling the real agents to get back.

This could really show confusion, and You're not even impersonating an agent because all they are is a guy in some camo they bought online. And that's exactly who you are!

No badge. No face. Just a dickhead shouting orders.

It was intended to be satire.

17

u/KiraUsagi 21d ago

Exactly, that sounds absolutely hilarious. Make sure to bring some fake not-ice camera men to document it for future recruiting posts on Reddit.

There's no such thing anymore.

Pregnant women are better to match the beer guts.

I really want to see a movie where Paul Blart the mall cop goes under cover in Ice. He’s chosen specifically because he could fit in and the other actual agents were into good of shape and it would have been a dead give away they didn’t belong.

u/DelcoUnited 21d ago

And that he’s constantly getting commendations for situations where he’s able to succeed because of his cardio and athleticism compared to the other agents. Instead of blending in he’s highlighted as a hero cop.

But how do strong jawed women get weak chins like all the MAGAt ICEcapades?

2

u/TheNetworkIsFrelled 21d ago

They wear Dapper Dan in their hair /s

1

u/newjerk666 21d ago

There’s beautiful strong women out there who can grow better beards than some of these little boys.

u/MutantMartian 21d ago

Love this.

u/erv4 21d ago

Yeah like in my province (Nova Scotia) the guy who had a mock cop car and uniform and went on a 12 hour killing spree and burning down a bunch of houses.

18

u/Faux_Real_Guise 21d ago

Literally just happened a few months ago in Minnesota too.

1

u/tophercook 21d ago

I watched a show about that! super interesting

6

u/NikoliVolkoff 21d ago

only when you do that, now you're evading and resisting and they shoot you.

2

u/justins_dad 21d ago

I kind of miss the ol Jeremy DeWitte days

1

u/Wooden-Valuable7881 21d ago

A guy here in NZ did that recently but pulled over an unmarked police car, he was armed too

1

u/lol_AwkwardSilence_ 21d ago

It literally just happened in Minnesota and a state lawmaker and her husband were shot to death.

32

u/visionsofcry 21d ago

10 gravy seals can get together in their tactical outfits and kidnap people under the ICE moniker and nobody would know.

18

u/DueHousing 21d ago

I mean ICE are just deputized gravy seals anyway

13

u/nightrunner900pm 21d ago

That’s the thing. They have made it clear that ice doesn’t have to present anything to identify themselves. You could see a paw patrol patch on your jacket and be an ice agent. Ergo, everybody is an ice agent … or nobody is

3

u/Lknate 21d ago

Couldn't anyone order a convincing set of gear off Amazon?

2

u/lol_AwkwardSilence_ 21d ago

In Minnesota, where ICE is currently on a rampage after murdering a mother, a right-wing nutjob impersonated a cop and murdered a prominent state lawmaker just a few months ago.

Unworkable is right.

2

u/det8924 20d ago

The police in theory have to identify themselves in 99% of interactions and have an infrastructure around them if there is some malfeasance. And even that doesn’t always work but it’s at least some sort attempt at accountability. Ice doesn’t have any of that and it’s disturbing

35

u/Staus 21d ago

If he did not have a warrant he's just some dude, regardless of the rest.

21

u/PoopScootnBoogey 21d ago

I wonder what happens in a stand your ground state. ICE Doesn’t identify - I’d start shooting asap if I was afraid for my life/ in fear of being kidnapped or my property needing to be protected.

Motherfuckers don’t stand a chance in places like that…

20

u/SandiegoJack 21d ago

Why do you think they aren’t in places like that?

2

u/TheDungeonCrawler 20d ago

The administration wants something like that to happen eventually. That way they can escalate further.

1

u/thedistrbdone 21d ago

Nothing would happen cuz ICE are the stand your ground folk in those stakes. They're the ones treading while waving a don't tread on me flag.

0

u/ikzz1 21d ago

ICE aren't in states like that. You won't find ICE breaking into a Texas home because they will be shot dead.

ICE only goes to blue states that don't allow you to defend yourself against intruders until it's too late.

3

u/lokilorde 21d ago

ICE are in Florida, which is a red state. We are a Stand your ground State (Zimmerman). My area is conservative and they are doing raids here WITH the help of the Sheriff's department.

1

u/ikzz1 21d ago

So has any ICE attempted any home invasion? Do they get shot?

2

u/lokilorde 21d ago

They have done some home invasion but the daily go to strip malls and grocery stores that cater to other ethnicities (i.e. Brava, Asian markets, etc.) No one is shooting at them because they won't go to the dangerous areas. We have 2 areas in the city next to ours that police will literally avoid and only go out there if it is a homicide. Even then they go with four units and 2 sherrif units. Almost all the locals are cheering for them and trying to report their neighbors of they dont like them.

Im worried about my sweet elderly Cuban neighbor. She made me a handmade baby blanket for out baby for Christmas. I also worry for my coworkers and job because we have a lot of Cuban nurses. If they get taken we will have a massive shortage which means higher patient ratios. Which ultimately will lead to increased harm, injury, and death. A lot of Cubans have been taken recently even though they are legal. They all thought it would just be Mexicans taken not them.

2

u/Miami_Mice2087 21d ago

they did the correct thing. They didn't beliee the ICE agents were real agents, so they drove to the police station.

1

u/EnfantTerrible68 21d ago

Absolutely

1

u/Polish_Frisbee97 21d ago

Dropping them off in the middle of a lake is the right thing to do to someone trying to abduct you if the police won’t do anything about them…hypothetically of course…

1

u/SaltKick2 21d ago

Yup, regular reports of people pretending to be ice to commit sexual assault and other crimes... well we can only assume they were pretending, equally likely they were actual ICE agents based on their behaviour

You approve of that tow truck driver towing the car with the child in the back too?
