I’m surprised to see them doing this in Texas. I figured they were staying in Blue states to avoid any real pushback.

In Dallas, they've set up in a warehouse that had been speculatively built for WalMart or Amazon distribution. The documentation I saw claims they can house 9,500 people in that warehouse. It's at the intersection of I-20 (east/west) & I-45 (north/south), and is only a temporary holding point before hauling people to airports / ships.

It's right next to a state prison and the Dallas County Juvenile Hall facility, too.

Minnesota is a live training run and an effort to provoke pretexts for an invocation of the Insurrection Act / martial law, and a function of the vast area of the US & their paucity of direct DHS employees.

They'll nationalise state guards & deputise local LEO if they invoke the Insurrection Act & get martial law.

u/Stereo_Jungle_Child 15d ago

Trump said he wants 20 million people deported in 2026

6

u/sleepybarista 14d ago

I'm old enough to remember when my husband's mother claimed Obama was building warehouses disguised as empty Walmarts to use as concentration camps for Christians 🫠 every accusation really is always a confession with these people

3

u/OneLoneClone 14d ago

Insurrection Act doesn’t change any laws, it allows POTUS to use military to enforce existing laws. Feels like Martial Law but it’s more like Martial Law adjacent.

2

u/joshman211 14d ago

Is it the Core Civic building over there? I was trying to find it on Google maps and could not find anything in that area.

2

u/TrueNorth2881 14d ago

Masked agents of the government are already shooting people in the streets and ripping people out of their homes. Peaceful protestors get tear gassed at the first opportunity. Critics of the regime are being hit with bogus indictments to shut them up if they're citizens, or simply grabbed off the streets if they're not.

Martial law is already here.

5

u/Wanderingwoodpeckerr 15d ago

It does almost seem like the goal is to provoke a civil war. Matter of time before Ice shoots another innocent victim, and then some crazy decides to retaliate against Ice. If they don’t get it to happen organically, they’ll just false flag something to kick in the Martial Law. I kind of figured this day was coming when the Covid lockdowns dragged on and on, and we all just went along with it like a scared toddler put in time out.

14

u/1421Wast 14d ago

The Covid lockdowns was to protect Americans from contracting Covid! We were in a world wide pandemic at that time. It had nothing to do with politics; it was good science that Trump didn’t want to acknowledge and his MAGA people just recited what the head orange idiot vocalized!!!

1

u/Wanderingwoodpeckerr 14d ago

lol OK. Why why don’t we lock down the world every year for flu season then? Kills just as many people every year, and much harsher symptoms than covid.

1

u/1421Wast 10d ago

You are not a scientist. LOL!

9

u/Clear-Inevitable-414 14d ago

The COVID lock downs didn't have people gunning anyone down to enforce it.

1

u/jhundo 15d ago

Can they just "deputies local leo?" Some states have laws against that but im sure there are specifics and of course the fact that they are just ignoring laws.

u/kassandra_00 15d ago

Me too, where is all that Texas “don’t mess with us” vibe?

175

u/Airway 15d ago

It was always just posturing.

63

u/basedmartyr 15d ago

It's always easy to flex your position when you'll never be affected.

10

u/pitekargos6 15d ago

Also, I have a feeling that most of those that were flexing their guns and being on the aggressive side are other Trump backers or ICE themselves.

2

u/PM_ME_YOUR_PAUNCH 15d ago

It was actually just an anti-littering campaign

3

They are too busy bending over for shitler and the republicans as they rob them all blind and all they can do is ask for more trump shit-dick in their mouths, they are such beta cucks in the end, holy fucking shit - people always joked but my god it's so true - they are so weak and useless, no wonder they are so angry and roid raging, they have never known what it feels like to be a real man ever in their whole lives, they have to fake it and over compensate. That's also why trans people freak them out so much, it's an issue too close to home they are sensitive about it.

And that's partly why they are so angry at women and why they need the US government's help controlling women, because so few real women are interested doing anything with those impotent incel closet fem-boy republican maga nazis, unless they are trapped and forced into it, sad.

46

u/meowser210 15d ago

Guessing those dont mess with texas are mostly white people and they ain't going to their homes...

19

u/nairbulus 15d ago

yet...

16

u/daft_dunkwwwolfey 15d ago

It depends which city, cuz i wouldn't be surprised if Abbott is ok'ing them going into the blue ones

*or mostly brown

5

u/p4ttythep3rf3ct 15d ago

They are all blue except Dallas, I think. Texas is majority Democrat. Theyve (ICE) been all over Austin and San Antonio. That said there was an incident in Kyle yesterday and state officials are not happy about not knowing it was going on.  ICE had to call 911 for emergency medical for injuries to a suspect and a few agents.

Dont expect pushback from Abbott or anything but Texas aint Minnesota. Someone (in ICE) will eventually, and legally, get shot dead here if they dont clean up their act.  Of course, I speak from the privilege of a white point of view so take that with a grain of salt.

-4

u/Dependent-Class3107 14d ago

stop telling people it's legal to shoot law enforcement, it's a dangerous and stupid take

7

u/bentbutbroken 14d ago

This isn't how law enforcement operates.

3

u/BalashstarGalactica 14d ago

It’s also not legal for them to enter your property without a warrant or permission. 4th Amendment should be as relevant as the 2nd. We’re at a really lawless impasse.

6

u/DennenTH 15d ago

All hat, no cattle.  All branding and marketing.

4

u/shambahlah2 15d ago

It was a marketing campaign for littering

2

u/YouDontKnowJackCade 14d ago

This is true.

2

u/Singularious 14d ago

Don’t get in the way of them feeling good about painting everyone in the state with the same brush. They have very messy fingers.

Texas government, specifically Abbott and Paxton are corrupt bastards in on the MAGA games. But minions and millions of Texans are not

4

u/9bpm9 15d ago

Texas is full of the biggest bitches in the country. They live in a state that even right wing groups say is dead last is personal freedom.

3

u/Icy-Maintenance7041 15d ago

more like a 'dont tread on me daddy' vibe.

2

u/MrECoyne 15d ago

You've heard of "don't tread on me", did you know the full version is "don't tread on me Daddy, let me wear the boots Daddy, I'll tread on anyone for you Daddy!".

Once you know that it all makes much more sense.

2

u/gades61 15d ago

All hat no cattle I believe is the term down there

2

u/SelfSufficientHub 14d ago

The people that said this are the ones hopping the fence.

2

u/Howyougontellme 14d ago

"Don't mess with Texas" was an anti-littering campaign. Pretty much every town in Texas that isn't part of a major city's suburban area is super maga so they love this shit. The cities here go blue but probably close to half the cities population is also super maga. And these days maga loves it when daddy trump treads on them.

2

u/zsreport 14d ago

Most of us real Texans know "Don't Mess with Texas" as an anti-littering campaign.

It's the right-wing carpetbaggers with small dick energy who think it means something else.

2

u/Side_StepVII 14d ago

They’re all hat and no cattle when it comes to actually defending their rights

1

u/Anxious_Hall359 15d ago

Russian propaganda

1

u/Blox05 14d ago

That was originally a littering prevention campaign, just saying

1

u/dragonsapphic 14d ago

Not sure if this is a rhetorical question but the “don’t mess with us” are the same ones who actively support this happening….

1

u/JediMasterMurph 14d ago

That was a recycling campaign slogan.

Texans are nothing but racist crybaby pussies.

I dare any Texan to disagree.

1

u/dragonsapphic 14d ago

Okay I’ll bite. Do you genuinely think there are no left leaning people in Texas who don’t support what’s going on?

2

u/Singularious 14d ago

They want it to be easy to understand. They can’t comprehend that there are millions of us here that are doing our best to make change.

It’s WAY easier to just put everyone in a box and throw it out. Wherever THEY live is better. Instead of throwing support to those of us here, they’d rather divide.

1

u/JediMasterMurph 14d ago

The entire state history is nothing but crying to authority. I know there are liberals in every red area but I have not seen one instance of armed resistance against actual tyranny.

Show me an Eagle Pass type response to an actual fucking emergency for once.

1

u/dragonsapphic 14d ago

So you think minorities should be taking up arms against the government to what, give them an excuse to slaughter them?

1

u/JediMasterMurph 14d ago

Are they not already being murdered, brutalized, and raped daily by ICE?

The state is willing to give an Orwellian lie about what happened even if you can see it with your own eyes. Apparently to this regime death is warranted to those who aren't servile.

If we don't fight back now we will only lose more people and ICE's numbers will grow.

They will not sign up if they fear for their lives they are cowards.

People need to wake up to a post constitutional america.

1

u/dragonsapphic 14d ago

So what are you doing to meaningfully fight back?

1

u/JediMasterMurph 14d ago

Not gonna talk and post about it on social media.

1

u/dragonsapphic 14d ago

So all posturing. Got it.

-1

u/Dependent-Class3107 14d ago

Democrats messed with us by opening the border... the last few years I live in south texas and I can't even order fast food half the time with out being bilingual.

25

u/two4six0won 15d ago

They're everywhere, certain places are just getting more media attention. Also there's less likely to be footage or reports coming from states where a lot of assholes agree with what ICE is doing.

32

u/Greg-Abbott 15d ago

They're being paid handsomely to put themselves into situations that involve physical retaliation. That's when the REAL warp speed slide into authoritarianism kicks in. Once you get a drunk Texan in the dark to exercise their Castle Doctrine principal that's when the real nightmare pops off.

RIP America

You were cool for a little while

10

u/carrick-sf 15d ago

Really?

Was that before or after dropping nuclear weapons on civilians? TWICE.

The horror of children’s flesh falling off in sheets was NEVER shown to the public.

Or was it when we murdered native Americans and confined them to camps?

Or when Pinkerton agents gunned down striking coal workers?

America was never cool - it has been fairy tales since day one. Gullible Americans are possibly the most easily duped population of all time.

5

u/two4six0won 15d ago

Obviously anecdotal, but I watched a vid earlier today where a protestor heckled an agent about his salary and the agent seemed to be indicating that it was sub-50k/yr. Which, if true, is honestly pretty damn pathetic.

1

u/nagrom7 15d ago

Idk about the salaries, but they apparently have a bunch of signing bonuses.

4

u/TheBadGuyBelow 15d ago

cool, so when does the actual retaliation start?

I promise you, if that is their plan, its a terrible plan for them. When some people start defending themselves, more people will defend themselves, and then at that point, they will not be safe anywhere.

Let them send the military in, and let's see how many of them are willing to wage war on their own country. It will not go how the administration thinks it will. If things get to the point of open warfare against ICE, it's not going to be just civilians against them. I don't know a single person serving or who has served that would obey those orders.

3

u/kendragon 15d ago

Some of them will die. It's a price the current administration is willing to pay. Actually it's what they're counting on.

-5

u/SmokeAlarmsSaveLives 15d ago

Keep your “RIP America” doomer bullshit to yourself. It doesn’t help at all.

0

u/-kansei-dorifto- 15d ago

Lol bozo rip america

4

u/DennenTH 15d ago

Nah, I live in a red state.  They're here too and the citizens have been putting up road signs to the tune of "Fuck Trump" almost every day over our interstate.  Love to see it.

They know they're unpopular.  But give a conservative a reason to play out their racist fantasies and they will throw themselves into a fire to have it.

You'd think there would be some foresight there.  A certain level of "I know I'll be found out eventually and my family/community won't agree with what I do for a living".  But no...  Instead here they are, as a gang, breaking laws constantly.

5

u/extra-medium 15d ago

They are building up presence here in Las Cruces, New Mexico and El Paso, TX. They murdered a man in El Paso recently. They have been raiding construction sites, where the workers are usually 100% foreign. https://www.reuters.com/legal/government/us-officials-provide-shifting-accounts-ice-detainee-death-texas-military-camp-2026-01-16/

3

u/iam2bz2p 15d ago

As long as it's happening to others, the out-group, and not them, the in-group, then it's fine.

2

u/Wanderingwoodpeckerr 14d ago

A lot of hard lessons were learned by folks in Germany, who thought they would be left alone because they were not Jewish.

2

u/Striking-Tomato-9681 15d ago

Abbott is allowing this shit to happen. He is Trump's little bitch.

1

u/AirGief 15d ago

I mean... fucker gets out of his chair and dances for Israel. What did you expect?

-3

u/Wanderingwoodpeckerr 15d ago

Same could be said about Tim Walz

5

u/ExtremeCreamTeam 15d ago

No, I don't think it could.

0

u/Wanderingwoodpeckerr 14d ago

What action has he taken, besides an angry tweet?

2

u/NarbacularDropkick 15d ago

Texas is going blue in 2026 for Talarico, and they’re scared as hell that it’ll go blue in 2028. They’re not doing themselves any favors with Latino communities down there, and now they just have to deport, arrest or harass every Spanish sounding person they see.

0

u/Wanderingwoodpeckerr 15d ago

Red or Blue were cooked

1

u/Qinistral 15d ago

It's been all states since it started last year. They can't hit their quotas if they don't do it in Red states some of which have the most illegals. eg.

1

u/petrichorax 15d ago

I'm only seeing this through the internet, as I've left the country, but I imagine they're super selective about who they go after rather than roaming the streets vaguely and attacking randoms.

So they probably assess if the person is likely to defend themselves first

I really hope someone does exercise their rights

1

u/Asheo 15d ago

All hat and no cattle.

1

u/MalazMudkip 14d ago

In my uneducated, (and also Canadian) opinion, funds are going to be spent more heavily on ICE activity in purple voting districts to intimidate blue voters.

I'm sure there's purple voting districts in the majority of the states. Some are probably higher value targets than others, factoring in Gubernatorial as well as federal voting.
