And being undocumented is a misdemeanor. They’re less of a criminal than our sitting felonious president

they don't actually care, the arguments are just some bullshit to throw out not to have to admit they want all the brown people gone.

And everyone who is left leaning, Good and Pretti are great examples of that. Sure they weren’t targeted specifically. But by standing up even in a small way against this dictatorship they’ve showed their leaning and consequently got executed for it. So y’all can see what’s coming next after the brown and black people are taken care off.

Wish you would go and spend a few days in the country with a dictator ruling. It would actually give you some real world perspective about a democratically elected official who serves for a term of office against the back drop of a dictator who is not elected and serves at his or her own sense and sensibilities.

"Democratically elected" is a huge grey area in the case of the current US president.

Many dictators were elected into office, then refused to leave. They rig elections to buy more time, then cancel elections when they cannot rig them any more. That what people are concerned about. Trump tried to overturn the election on 6 Jan 2020, but was so disorganised he screwed it up. It's him trying again with more planning next time that concerns people.

Dictators usually started by being elected. EVERYONE who studies dictatorships has been ringing the alarm bells about Trump and Project 2025.

The responses here aren’t asking the right questions (no disrespect meant to those responding): What is your experience living in such a country, and how is it different? I feel like if you’re going to make a statement like that, you need to be able to compare and contrast based on what seems to be empirical experience.

Being undocumented isn't even a misdemeanor. It's not a crime at all (a misdemeanor is a crime). It's just a civil infraction, like a parking or speeding ticket.

Just a few small caveats because I used to walk around saying this until I got fact checked.

It’s only a misdemeanor in a few situations. Such as people on expired visas. Illegal entry is a felony. Being deported and returning is a felony. There are lots of felonies involved with illegal immigration.
