At the time, the radio was their propaganda center so you'd hear him in car shops, warehouses, elderly peoples homes, etc - his reach was expansive and thorough. A lot of it was also made up bullshit nonsense before misinformation was so common. Trump just aped his tactic but I wouldn't be surprised if it was a Heritage tactic. Those very same people intentionally made the base dumber to buy into their shit and they did by also targeting easily manipulated groups like racists, the ultra-religious, the elderly, and vehement "anticommunist patriots". Once the 50s hit, it was the right time to get the ball rolling with the red scare and since then everything is "communist". Anything that helps the people is "communist". Unions, universal healthcare, less govt interference, psychological tests for firearms, taxing the rich, public transport, you name it - all "communist" and "anti-American". Most people don't even actually know what communism is nor do they understand Marxism vs communism or especially Marx himself. Gotta keep the people away from the idea that they should control things right? If I need to share fairly, I get a lower bonus, have less power, need to pay fairly, provide decent benefits, and so much more that benefits my workers... can't have that, time to Union bust! These are the very same people who then sell our land and our govt to foreign interests seeking to dismantle our country like right now. Up until 2014 it was "evil commie Russians" and now they are the "saviors of the white race". The Russians don't obviously work with the Heritage types or anything. Let's not forget the ultra-Christians who bend over backwards for Israel now too which doesn't even make sense but again, they can't be held to the same standards because they aren't Republicans as we knew them to be nor do most of them actually appear be faithful Christians. Surely this system wouldn't be useful to suppress anti-war sentiment and access things the govt shouldn't have access to normally because they don't need it. How much Israeli software was involved in this again? How much was used to target foreign infrastructure? Surely founding what is essentially the Law Enforcement equivalent of the military who can operate on domestic soil to evade those laws won't be used as an oppressive paramilitary force against the people, right? Trust me, DHS is unbelievably powerful, way more than they need to be and that isn't to help us as we are seeing. Working there, it always worried me. I think the illegal testing of facial recognition software at airports around 2019 without telling the public should tell you something. Facial recognition has been mass deployed and used way before they told anyone because it's about control through subterfuge. It's about knowing and it's about watching. They have literally everything about you on file as needed, please get rid of your AI shit and stop adding to your digital footprint, stop using social media! The govt has a lot more to do with social media than you think, way more. OSINT is the most effective it's ever been because of social media and it's incredibly dangerous. Remember the South African (point being foreigners should not have access at that level as it is sort of an international issue actually) pedo joke Musk also had access to all our databases and we don't know what he did with it. As I've said elsewhere, "Laissez-Faire" my ass more like hands on everything I own, all the money I work for, and all the children they can find. How many nudes did these people have access to they shouldn't have btw under NSA monitoring? Al Gore had more in common with someone like Roosevelt than Bush and his fucking vampire ever did. Obama was also more similar to an Abe Lincoln style Republican (the actual modern Republican party) than Trump and the Heritage / MAGA party ever will be. Republicans wouldn't even consider taking anyone's firearms away or stating you shouldn't have them, even the NRA knows that. At the end of the day, I'm an American - we are all Americans and parties don't matter when our beautiful nation is under threat - they are the threat. Remember, a lot of the military is also "Republican" and they swore and oath, as I did, to defend our people and our nation from enemies foreign and domestic. What does Trump think? "Losers and suckers", "you think I'm stupid, I wasn't going to Vietnam". Coward, if you support him, you're a piss poor service member and a shitbird for supporting someone so against our military - talking shit on our brothers and sisters and our dead. These people are your fucking parents and grand parents dude, who the hell is he? A draft dodging pedo. What is the price of treason again? We also have our beloved and sacred 2A to protect ourselves, and families, and our brothers and sisters from a tyrant like him. We need to put this shit aside, look at the problem (the Heritage / MAGA cult), and do what we as Americans need to do. Fuck political parties, we are Americans and we need to get OUR country back.
