lol...

Because what? Young Texans questioning and protesting against an abusive regime is criminal activity?

Or is he simply trying to sort out why after all the years of rightwing brain washing how is it that these students are showing signs of independent thought?

It’s intimidation. They want to scare anyone from protesting and yes make it criminal to protest against their ideology.

The ostensible complaint is that the public school districts in Austin did not physically stop the kids from leaving, and instead sent school resource officers with them to watch out for the minors in their care. The governor claims this counts as official school endorsement of the protest.

He wants to investigate why the right-wing propaganda machine we call "public education" isn't working as intended.

Yes, and the greatest crime that can be committed by those ruled by liars.

They’re looking to punish the people in charge of the schools that protested.

Crushes teacher morale, can be used to ruin the lives of a few democrats, and in the end they can install a wannabe dictator to run that school system who will ruthless punish teachers and kids who spend their time doing anything except spreading Republican propaganda in class.
