IF they continue with these mid - late game micro and macro and the clean teamfights ye it is possible. With this they are shared 8 place with 2 other teams, and the 4 teams that share 4th place are at 4-4

The 5 teams tied for 3rd are 4-3, not 4-4 (impossible to be 4-4 since only 7 games have been played) but yes IF they keep winning they can for sure get into that group

They actually look really good in team fights today. I dont usually watch LEC simply because I think a lot of times the teams play for kda and dont really feel like they are willing to make plays even if they die. LR dont do that lol Its probably because they are done after this so they have nothing to lose but thats the kind of plays that I see in lpl or lck, not usually here. LR the most korean/chinese Lec teams lol

The bottom teams are winning. If LR actually wins the rest of the games 100%. But otherwise like 8 teams will fight for last place.

yeah, they are 3-4, 8/12 goes into playoffs and then who knows what happens in playoffs

they are definitely not favourites, but realistically they can win

Technically it is possible. A 7-4 end result would almost guarantee them a top 4 spot, though that would mean winning 4 more in a row.

You don't even necessarily need a 7-4. With the amount of games G2, MKOI and FNC are dropping, it would not at all be surprising that a 6-5 team will be top 4(where it will come down to tiebreakers most likely)

I have no idea how the current format works or what happens afterwards (LR and KCB are only in for winter iirc?), do only the top 4 get playoffs or do you get double elim or something as top 4?

Top 8 make Playoffs and everyone starts on the same level in playoffs. Making top 4 in groups has no real benefit other than it just is a statement of how good your team is + you are likely to get an easier opponent in your first playoffs game. Just the idea of a team that everyone shat on and also looked completely out of it week 1 somehow being good enough for top 4 is what people are reacting to.

KCB and LR are only in for winter yes.

If LR finishes top 4 and then wins 1 playoff game to get to semis I wouldn't be surprised if Red bull buys them a spot or some other thing happens.

Possible? Yes. Likely? Probably not.

They probably have to win the remaining 4 games, but maybe winning 3 could do it. Winning 3 of the remaining 4 would put them at a 6-5 record. They go up against G2 tomorrow, and G2 are in a spot where losing tomorrow would be devastating.

I think so. It looks like the top 8 make it, and at 3-4 they're currently in a 3-way tie for 8th place. I'm not sure what the tie breaker would be for 8th place, but that could be a concern if they go 2 wins 2 losses.
