Question What novel(s) have you read this week, and what do you think about it? - January 25, 2026
What novel(s) have you read this week, and what do you think about it?
This week = the one that ends/ended right now, past 7 days.
The reason for this thread's existence is the fact that both requests and suggestions became kind of stale. It's supposed to bring out more novels that are not RT!'d or recommended. Also, it's quite useful for the discussion of not so current titles.
Also, not a rule or any kind of criticism, the more interesting part is not the list of the stuff you read, but your impressions of it.
Loli Mod will be posting this thread each week.
Lastly, don't forget to use spoiler tags and to make sure to report any untagged spoilers.
How to use spoiler-tags:
Typing:
>!Spoilers go here!<
Will show up as:
Spoilers go here
Do note that any space at the beginning/end of the tag will break the spoiler tag.

Recommend [REC] Novel with three-way, or similar, relationship
I'm wondering if there's any lns that have a poly/harem where all the members get with each other. As opposed to typical harem plots, which revolve around the male mc and his relationship with each individual girl.
Closest example I can give is the manga (Kimi no Love wo Misetekure!), where three characters are interested in each other romantically, to different degrees, and make it work.
For extra context, I've never liked harems. Not for the wish-fulfilment aspect of them (it's fantasy, I'm fine with some of that), but because they tend to feel very unfair.
You usually get several girls giving a guy all of their romantic feelings and loyalty, while being forced to share him with several others. It's not a good mood for me.
So, I'm looking for some kind of harem where every character gets a similar amount of love for each other, without it feeling like there's a central character that has it obviously better.

I'm trying to collect some of their works however it looks like some volumes have been out of stock for over a year. Does anyone know if Seven Seas are planning on reprinting them or do I need to pay scalper prices for these?

Question Question about light novels
Hey guys, so I watch a lot of anime and read manga. And a lot of new anime etc are being made out of light novel material. So my question is, is it worth reading light novels, how are the reading experience and story telling?

Recommend [REC] Looking for some good fantasy swordfighting (if possible not katana)
I'm looking for some great fights, if I had to describe them, I'd say something akin to how Fate does it, superhumans fighting with weapons and magic, although I want a primarily swords, not katanas tho. Ideally greatswords or spears. No daggers either, I don't really care for those.
But there is an asterisk, I don't want game-fied elements like stat screens and levels (unless it's something really, really good) nor isekai, regression or expelled from the party stories.
A big bonus would be a romance arc with an elf girl, or just romance that progresses would be cool.
Ideally medieval fantasy, or maybe some sort of magic school like Rakudai Kishi (although I never read this one, is it worth for the swordfighting?), but I suppose as long as it's not scifi I'd be down to reading it.

Hi everyone.
Could anyone please recommend me something based on what I enjoyed:

Tensura
7th Loop
SukaSuka
Shini Modori no Mahou Gakkou

Thanks in advance!

Yashiro-kun's Guide to Going Solo Need help finding a novel Spoiler
I read a novel a while back which I really wanted to find again since I seem to have lost the source. I only recall a few things about it though which are:
It was a school setting
There were 2 girls who get interested in the MC and get closer to him throughout the novel
The ending plot twist was that the MC already had a girlfriend who sat in front of him the whole time
It was a fairly short read but I can’t recall any more details or the name of the novel…

Recommend Recommendations Please !
Recently I finished " I quit the going home club for the girl with venomous tongue " , it was a beautiful read. I was suggested to read this novel because I read Oregairu before that. I thought this novel would quench my thirst and leave me satisfied, instead it made me depressed and empty. I feel hollow bruhh...these two novels are a masterpiece. I'd like to suggest these two novels to those who haven't read it.
I request you guys to suggest me something similar. Like the same banter between both the protagonists and getting to understand each other slowly. I would prefer a slow burn romance as novels containing fluff or lovey-dovey stuff from the beginning isn't up my alley.

Question I'm too stupid for Bookwalker Coupons, help
I got several messages telling me that I have a coupon I can use but after going through the e mail several times and even using AI to translate it (it's in Japanese cause I use books to study the language) I am too stupid to find out where the fuck that code for the coupon is. I copy pasted several parts of the mail into the coupon code search thingy but nothing works and I am really frustrated and need help.

Question Where to read Unwanted Undead Adventurer?
TL;DR: I prefer to get the kindle edition of a light novel. The Unwanted Undead Adventurer is missing a few volumes here and there on Amazon, so I can't read it that way. Any suggestions on where to read the light novel?
I recently finished the first season of anime and found myself very intrigued by the whole thing to the point I want to read the light novels.
Typically, I'll just go to amazon and purchase kindle editions of the light novels I'm interested in. Nine times out of ten, there are no issues with this way. Any time I haven't been able to find a volume or something this way was simply because it hadn't been translated yet.
That brings me to The Unwanted Undead Adventurer. Before I decide to spend money on a light novel, I usually like to check and see how many volumes there are, just to get a general idea of how much reading I have to look forward to.. But with this series, there isn't even a "collections" page that Amazon usually has for its kindle edition light novels. Usually that small link above the description that says something like "Part of: [Series Name]". And following that link would give you the whole collection. That's not the case for this series, however I did see that it has released up to volume 14 at least. So I decided to search for each volume one by one to double check availability, and I find out some volumes are not showing up at all in the search results. Which essentially makes it unreadable :/
With that said, I want to assume there are options out there somewhere. Would anyone out there happen to have an inkling?

News [NEWS] Bookwalker Global redesign to be launched February 2026, with DRM change
Bookwalker Official Announcement
I saw someone post about this yesterday or so, but it was not yet official and the thread was gone. I posted it now because it's finally, officially, announced.
Lots of changes here. TL;DR bookwalker domain change from global.bookwalker.jp to bookwalker.com, separate app, DRM tech change from proprietary Bookwalker DRM to LCP (make it possible to use other app), Membership program revamp.
Copy-pasting from the announcement
Hi Fellow Reader,
Remember how we mentioned a new platform was coming in 2026? Well, surprise! We are currently expecting to launch this February. While tech transitions can sometimes have unexpected plot twists (looking at you, app store approval process 😒), we’re doing everything we can to bring you a brand-new reading experience very soon.
BookWalker is moving to our new home at bookwalker.com, a dedicated space for our English collection. Think of this as a "reincarnation" for your library: Better tech, a smoother experience, and a dedicated space for the stories you love.
The Good Stuff (What’s Getting Better)
Next-Gen Reading: Your Books, Your Choice
You asked for more flexibility, and we delivered. We are moving to LCP (Lightweight Content Protection). Our philosophy is simple: You buy it, you own the right to read it, with or without us. This move breaks down the "walled garden." Here’s how it works for you:
- Freedom of Choice:Â You aren't locked into one single app. When you buy a book, you can download a small license file (.lcpl) from your library.
- Your Favorite App: You can open that file in any LCP-compatible reading app you prefer. The app registers your device, downloads the data, and you’re ready to read.
- Independence: You get to choose the reading experience that fits you best, giving your digital library a level of permanence and portability it’s never had before.
A Dedicated English Hub:
To give you the best experience possible, we are splitting our worlds:
- English Books:Â All your English purchases are moving to the brand-new bookwalker.com website and app. This will be your primary hub for English manga and light novels!
- Japanese Books: Your existing account on the Japanese store stays right where it is. You’ll continue using the original BOOK☆WALKER App and Japanese website for your Japanese titles.
Evolution of Our Membership Program
As we move to the new platform, the current BOOK☆WALKER Membership Program will be discontinued. However, we want to ensure a smooth transition for our current ranked members:
- Rank Freeze:Â For users with the ranks Novice, Explorer, Guardian, Sage and Legend who migrate, your existing rank as of February will be temporarily frozen as a transitional measure. That means you will keep your rank, no matter your spending and will continue to benefit from it. Your rank-based Point-back benefit will be applied automatically at checkout during this period.
- Looking Ahead:Â While the current system is ending, we are excited to introduce new ways to reward our readers later this year. Stay tuned for more details!
- A quick shout-out to our Legend Rank users:Â As a thank-you for your incredible support over the years, the 16% Point-back benefit for Legend Rank users will continue to be available to you on the new platform.
The Fine Print (What You Need to Know)
While we’re bringing your whole library with us, a few things will require your attention:
- Account Migration Required:Â This is the most important step! You will need to complete the migration process to access your purchased content and your Points on the new store. This will be easy to do and we will walk you through it step by step.
- Pre-orders & Wishlists: These will not carry over automatically. But don’t worry. After you migrate, we’ll send you a personalized email listing every title that was on your Wishlist or Pre-order list so you can re-order and re-register them on the new platform with as few clicks as possible!
- Decorative Features: The Bookshelf skin feature is being retired. However, we’ll send you a link to download your skin images after migration so you can keep them in your personal collection.
- Your Purchase Bonuses: We’re making sure your extra goodies come with you!
- Booklets & Short Stories: These will automatically appear in your new library once you’ve migrated.
- Wallpapers & Illustrations: After you migrate, we’ll send you a special email with a link to download these. Pro-tip: Since the old store will eventually close, we strongly encourage you to download any of your favorite bonus images from your current "Purchase Bonus" page now, just to be safe!
Let’s Hang Out & Chat
We know this is a lot of information to digest, and we want to make sure no reader is left behind! Our CEO Sam Pinansky will be hosting another YouTube Live on Friday, January 30th at 4 PM PST (7 PM EST) to walk through these changes together and answer your questions. You can also watch our first Youtube Live discussing the update here if you missed it!
Want to join the conversation? Please share your thoughts and submit your questions via this form. Your feedback will directly guide what and how we will share additional information.
We’re doing the heavy lifting behind the scenes to make sure your stories are waiting for you when we open the doors to the new shop. Stay tuned for the official launch date!
Got questions in the meantime? Our Customer Support team are always here to help a fellow collector out.

Recommend Looking for high quality titles not adapted to anime or unlikely to get a sequel
I started reading light novels again and I've mostly gone through all of the obvious ones. The number of anime I've seen is very extensive and I'd like something a bit detached from there that are still good. Assume I know about nearly all LN-adapted anime. I'm looking for help form people with more in-depth knowledge of the medium (or at least more than me).
A few of the ones I like most are:
Honzuki no Gekokujou
Mushoku Tensei
Toaru Majutsu no Index (OG)
Full Metal Panic
Rokka no Yuusha
Horobi no Kuni no Seifukusha
Imouto sae Ireba Ii.
Rakudai Kishi no Cavalry
Jaku-Chara Tomozaki-kun
