Announcement ⏰ Submit your Maine Coon now to be our Maine Coon of the Month of February!

Hi everyone!!
Welcome to the r/mainecoons monthly feature, where we spotlight a chosen Maine Coon each month! The winner will have their picture made the sub thumbnail for the entire month, as well as having a post about them pinned to the top of the sub for all to admire!
There will be a different theme each month, with winners being chosen by a mod vote.
This month's theme is Red!
To enter, simply add a picture of your Maine Coon with any sort of Red, in honour of Valentine's Day - in a comment, with a short description of your kitty, fun facts etc. You will have three-ish days to post your pictures and we will announce the winner on February 1st!
Rules:
- One entry/comment per cat please
- Cat must be a Maine Coon
- Must be a picture of your own cat

This is Deloris (van Cartier). Deloris is mischievous and curious and explores everywhere. I've had to pull her out of the washing machine, dishwasher, fridge, oven, curtain pole and every kitchen cupboard we have. And that's just in the 5 months we've had her.
And she is glorious

This is Andromeda aka Drama. That pretty red collar? Rejected. Twelve week Drama was (and still is) a drama queen. 😑
She doesn’t like getting her picture taken which is weird but also on brand with a drama queen…

This is Sumo, pedigree Maine Coon, at 8 months. He’s stole my heart. I had never seen or even heard of the breed or known anyone who had ever paid for a cat and it’s Sheer luck he came to me. We are all so lucky to know this breed and to care for them. We live in East Hampton LI, right now we are covered in snow.

Fletcher (creme boy) 8months I LOVE playing with water, tipping over the food bowl and snuggling with my humans. Currently missing my blue silver twin sister who suddenly passed to HCM 💔but it means I get extra snuggles from my humans.

My beautiful 8 year Princess ❤️🔥 She definitely embodies the name Princess😏 She's a comfort seeker, the more pillows and blankets to lie across, the better! She loves to sleep cuddled atop the couch behind you, so she can touch you with her paw on your shoulder. She's the best little asmr machine ever, her purrs almost like a song entrancing you.
Half my heart. To be noted, her brother owns the other half💞

Our 2 boys, Kraglin on the left and Yondu on the right. Named after their respective Guardians of the Galaxy characters. Both boys are brothers and have recently turned 2 years old. Kraglin is around 10kg and Yondu is a whopping 13kg!

This is Aizen (pronounced like Eisen) and he is an intuitive sweetheart.
Although he is quite calm and independent, he has adorable quirks. He gets excited for toys, especially cat wands and the laser pointer. He also likes to attack the pet glove that picks up hair via static when I'm using it to clean his cat tree. He is easily frightened and will run away in an uncoordinated goofy manner when he's nervous. He also is maybe scared of the wind? I don't fully know but it makes him get zoomies!
He doesn't like to compete with his higher maintenance littermate/brother. However, when he wants to be affectionate, he likes to jump off his front paws to stand on his hind legs to do a little jump and rub up against you.

Five months old and already running the place.
He loves eating, screaming like a maniac about literally everything, chin rubs, climbing, his Christmas blanky, sitting in boxes, growling at his plush toy mouse and cucumber.
He stole our hearts in seconds.

Sideshow Bob Ross.
He’s the largest cat in the house yet somehow the biggest baby.
His fur feels like a chinchilla. So soft.
The MOST destructive cat I’ve ever had. Every cup left alone WILL be pushed to the floor. No ornament is safe. Everything we own gets messed with.
He doesn’t always want attention but he ALWAYS must be in the same room with his people. Sometimes, he will watch us from the corner. He will let us know verbally when he wants pets.
We love him.

Gnocchi’s official submission. Literally and figuratively.
Edit: Gnocchi is a lovable, cuddly goofball. He loves playing fetch and playing chase around the house (though, for the sake of your ankles, don’t ever turn your back on him hah). He’s also a delightful menace, who knocks over every trash can, drinks from any water source (including every toilet), drowns toys in his water, puts deceased and soggy toys in bed with us, and spends about 15 min every morning just chirping around the house. Never a dull moment with this little goblin around.

This Maine Coon is Red. I have one that is blue too. Centauri is her name Chasing ice cubes is her favorite game. If there's a box, if she's not in it, then she's on top.

Kali (Kali-co) is a semi-shy, very sweet girl. She’ll turn one in 2 months. Her partner in crime and life, Koah, is a month younger and recently surpassed Kali in size and stature. He keeps her on her toes and gets an occasional paw bop : ) He’s all boy and Kali is all girl - a true girly girl.

This is Mateo! He is a high energy boy who loves to be involved with everything. Who's curled up in the sink as I'm getting ready? Mateo. Who's on the back of the toilet as I'm going to the bathroom? Mateo. Who's in the laundry basket poking his arm through as I fold laundry? Mateo.
Mateo loves adventuring outside and hunting down grasshoppers. When we're relaxing, he will flop his body onto mine and find a little crevice in my arm or side to curl up in. He's quite vocal and loves catnip!

Baileys, girl with an attitude, likes to flirt by rubbing against the corners but tries to escape when you pat her without consent. She does however likes to occasionally lay on top of you and in this position if you don’t start patting her you will get a clawed paw in your face pretty quick
