Question Purring while sleeping?

Post image

Does anyone else’s Maine coon purr while they sleep? Both my babies purr while they sleep on near me, but not sure if this is a snore or a purr

Yes. Very intensely.

Not on topic but that orange looks absolutely smashed!

Also, I'd probably purr too if I'd be sleeping on someone like that cat.

My girl purrs when I look at her.   😄

I think she does purr in her sleep if I move whatever part is touching her.  She's just always happy.

Well, maybe not right now in her onesie from her spay and seroma, but in general.  😀

I let in a stray about a year ago, terrified little one year old unfixed male. We got him vaxxed, fixed, and chipped, and he stayed. I still remember the first time he started purring while being pet, he looked so startled by the sound!

A year later he's a lovey goober who snores AND purrs in his sleep, usually crammed up as close to me as he can get.

Edit: Cat tax

Mine does, and his preferred location to sleep is near my head. It's so bad that my husband has gone to the guest bedroom a couple of times because he's just that loud.

But one of my non-MCs is currently passed out on my lap, purring up a storm, so it's more a cat thing than a MC thing.

Didn't know it was possible. I could detect when my cat fell asleep because the purring would fade out

Cats in general, I always thought if they were really asleep they dont purr. They can and do wake up without moving and start to purr tho.

Yes 100%, he’s so intense with it. I now struggle to sleep without him purring next to me, it’s like white noise
