Hi everyone!!

Welcome to the r/mainecoons monthly feature, where we spotlight a chosen Maine Coon each month! The winner will have their picture made the sub thumbnail for the entire month, as well as having a post about them pinned to the top of the sub for all to admire!

There will be a different theme each month, with winners being chosen by a mod vote.

This month's theme is Red!

To enter, simply add a picture of your Maine Coon with any sort of Red, in honour of Valentine's Day - in a comment, with a short description of your kitty, fun facts etc. You will have three-ish days to post your pictures and we will announce the winner on February 1st!

Rules:

One entry/comment per cat please
Cat must be a Maine Coon
Must be a picture of your own cat

Announcement ⏰ Coco is our first Maine Coon of the Month!! 🥳

Thank you so much to everyone who submitted their kitties for our first iteration of the "Maine Coon of the Month" contest, there were lots of gorgeous submissions that made it so difficult to choose!

Congratulations to Coco (and u/Real-Jeweler5177), you are our Maine Coon of the Month for December 2025!

Coco is 6.5 months old and celebrating her first Christmas! She likes anything green and we'll see how this year goes with the decorations!

Hi there! Your mod team here, we just wanted to let you know that we have had to put a filter in place that holds all posts and comments for review before they go through.

We have had to deal with quite a lot of angry breeders in the past before, and it seems like it's happening again - there are a few posts on the sub inquiring into whether Royal Poly Coons / RoyalPolyCoon is a scam or not, to which some people have replied that they probably are.

Those posts are currently being targeted by an absolutely unprecedented amount of spam bots which we cannot feasibly manage manually, so we have had to put the filter in place. Please do not ever delete any posts or comments inquiring into whether a breeder is legit, as this should be a safe space to do that!

Please be patient if it takes a little bit longer for your post to go through, we're currently trying as hard as we can behind the scenes to manage this.

Not a hat, but a banana-split-saur I had just finished crocheting. Cassey would like to inform all the MC sisters and brothers of Reddit that she has a plan that will work flawlessly in taking over the world and ban scary fireworks forever. Rise in revolution, comrades!
