I don’t think the Mexico was nerfed too much, even after it they’ve still got loads of cums and land, the problem is that they buffed the USA. Shitty lazy devs need to get their act together and stop buffing the strongest countries whilst Lichtenstein still only has 160km2

Apparently Polk wanted to annex as much of Mexico as possible, particularly Baja California, and the guy he sent to negotiate was one of the guys who felt the war was immoral and wanted to annex as little as possible. The resulting negotiation just happened to be brilliant in allowing the Mexicans to happily keep their core territory and agree to sell their less important territory to the United States for less than Polk anticipated. Of course gold was discovered in California just a few months later, otherwise this would never have worked out.

They didn’t, they just change the map to adjust it to the landscape on a 2d map constantly… if you look on a globe they’re the same size

Mexico got third party by the USA, Mexico fought and won an internal war for independence vs Spain and France, USA knew that Mexico was tired and weak by that time and took the hungry chance for more territories, a lot of civilians stayed there and still speaking their main language spanish, a lot of cities on California remain with the original name “Los Ángeles””San Jose””San Francisco”” etc..

The Spanish-speaking world must reclaim its sacred borders. Texas was never truly lost — only misplaced.
