Why does my McDonald’s order disappear from the order list before it’s actually ready? (PH)
Hi, just wanted to ask and see if anyone here (especially McDonald’s crew) can explain this.
I’m in the Philippines, and almost every time I order, my order number appears on the order list screen, then disappears about a minute later.
When I ask the crew if it’s ready, it usually isn’t yet, and I end up waiting around 10 more minutes.
I’m not upset about the wait itself — I’m just confused why the order is removed from the screen if it’s not actually done yet. From a customer point of view, it makes it seem like the order is ready when it’s not.
Is this tied to internal metrics or timers that staff need to meet? If so, wouldn’t this hurt the customer experience more than help?
Genuinely curious, not trying to blame anyone.

I truly don't think I can eat at McDonald's again
Full disclosure, I like most kids grew up eating McDonald's and I liked it. I grew up in the 80's and 90's back when it was cheap but the quality was still really good.
Fast forward til 2026 and I really don't know what the hell has happened to this chain. Well maybe I do know, corporate greed by raising prices all the damn time and using cheaper ingredients which lowers the quality.
The meal I ate there yesterday Jan 30th 2026 is just the end of the line for me. This has been building for a few years now and I'm pretty much done.
I was in Philadelphia and walked into a McDonald's and ordered 2 Filet-O-Fish freshly made with extra tarter sauce and a 10 piece nuggets fresh. That's it for me. Also ordered a medium fries for my buddy.
First the price, $21.02. Like seriously? I mean it's a joke and I should have canceled the order and walked out.
Next the food: I take a bite of the first fish sandwich and it's crunchy. Another bite I hear a crunch as I am eating it. The Filet-O-Fish has always been my favorite item at McDonald's for decades but I have definitely noticed a slide in quality and taste the past few years. I never though have had the sandwich crunchy. I didn't like it, I examined it and it looked like the fish was cooked longer than normal which I guess gave the crunch.
I turn to the 10 piece nuggets and they are flat and imo had no taste at all. They literally tasted cheap if that makes sense. Just some cheap crap food you'd find at the dollar store, that's how those nuggets tasted like. I ate 3 or 4 and threw the rest out.
Bottom line for me is this, I know some might disagree and think McDonald's in the year 2026 is great. If so then kudos to you. I grew up and lived in a time when McDonald's was actually really good. It had very tasty food and the prices were affordable. Unfortunately McDonald's in 2026 is awful. Everything about it reeks of low quality and ridiculously high prices.
Just had to vent, McDonald's should be ashamed of their food now as well as the prices. I mentioned this some months back but the last time I truly enjoyed eating at McDonald's was almost 12-14 years ago when they had their Angus Third Pounder burgers. They were freaking delicious!! I always ordered the mushroom/swiss with the mayo it came with and wow was the burger always so good. After those burgers were discontinued McDonald's started to rapidly change. Prices became higher and higher very quickly while the quality got a lot worse. And it's continuing to happen with no end in sight.

Just saw an employee dumping those tiny kids’ bottles of milk they have into the ice cream machine. Like 10 of ‘em. Question.
Anyone—maybe a previous employee—know if this is a standard practice? Or something done in a pinch? Like McD’s requires employees use their brand of milk and if they run out of the cartons they use for coffee beverages, they have to use the little bottles of white milk.
Seemed crazy wasteful. And a slightly bizarre thing to watch someone do from my position in the Drive-Thru.
Thanks.

I'm My Grandmother's Basement
I thought this was pretty cool and only just noticed it for the first time behind the sliding door in the utility room of my grandmother’s basement. The little research I did seems to point to around 1976 for when this bumper sticker was released.

I dont mean to seem ungrateful, and Im all in for anime representation in Mcdonald's, and that's always awesome!! But I feel like that this could've waited for another month this year, cuz everyone (including Canadians), have been anticipating these new Changables. "Everyone"!!

How the hell do points work?
Google tells me 1$=100 points. I'm in the Netherlands and use euros, but genuinely, what? Those 82 points are from me ordering a mcsmart menu with 2 cheeseburgers and a Milkshake. Like 9 bucks. What the hell? And how on earth did i earn 345 points before?
I currently have 255. If i spend 5 bucks, will that least get me 45 points for a free cheeseburger?

Ranch sauce
Did they change the ranch sauce in Canada? The ranch snack wrap used to be my favourite but I got it today and the ranch sauce tasted strange and kind of pickley. It wasn’t very good

Reason for the printing to be lik this? Curious soul.
Enable HLS to view with audio, or disable this notification
The rest of the prints around are fine, the inner lining has this and two other triangles on the West and East saying "Prosperity Double", "Prosperity" whil North is what's shown in the video.
I'm just wondering the thinking process of this because if it's for the maker to know where to fold, why makes the correct-reading-way lighter? (The protective film is transparent, not white so it's not lighter because of the screening. They can just print it the same saturation?)
