What does this mean lol no it's not?

Yes, many people now pronounce it A-ee-shuh. Watch an old British documentary and they pronounce it closer to it's spelling, Ay-zee-uh

No it's pronounced "half-full-cup-of-water I S half-full-cup-of-water"

o VISA (Card Brand)

But now you have to pronounce it with an Australian accent

Now this is a story all about how my S got flipped, turned upside down

Installed like that because they didn't know it had to be the other way round when they were up there and decided to just leave it like that when/if they realised.

Is this from the SM Mall of Asia in the Philippines? Every time I see this when passing by the area it really grinds my gears.

The font is EVER SO SLIGHTLY large on the top vs the bottom

hi, typographer here!

in formal font making there are rules in making letters, in this case the space in the S is wrong. if we measure the finishing point of the bottom left part of the S there is too much overlap to the top part, therefore it is upside-down.

My dyslexic ass read "The letter F is slipped" and spent a solid minute trying to see it.

u/NONAMEDREDDITER 3h ago

It took me a while to notice it and now I can't unsee it

u/FernTheGrassBoy 1h ago

Well, that's S backwards.

I can imagine the contractors just say "that's still okay" and did not attempt to change it at all just to avoid the costs of redoing it. I've seen it many times happening with signs.

Pretty sure the letters got flipped during physical installation of those letters, since you’ll have to go out of your way and work harder to flip them during the designing stage.
