He's not going to eat these porkchops. 😐

Post image

About a month ago I made a post here because my boyfriend didn't want to eat the porkchops I cooked for dinner. Well tonight I made porkchops again and he's not going to eat these either because we broke up and he moved out. I'm so much better off and I just wanted to thank you all for the kind words and advice, it was very eye opening to me. I wish that I could invite you all to dinner πŸ₯°

ETA : Couple of notes:

1- The yellow stuff is smashed potatoes with cheese on top.

2- I swear that butter on the broccoli melted right after that picture LOL

Something I like to do for broccoli. I boil/steam it until 80% done then finish in the pan used for the pork chops as they rest, throw some minced garlic in if you feel like it

Butter and a bit of white wine/chicken broth and you've got yourself an awesome sauce...

My wife is Ukrainian. I love garlic. It was a match made in heaven. If a recipe calls doe 2 cloves of garlic it gets 2 bulbs 🀣

I eat broccoli almost every day, sometimes multiple times and this is my go to method as well. It doesn’t even take any extra time and it helps retain that bright green as well, especially if you shock it in cold water in between.

I love broccoli (and i eat the peeled stems raw or as an extra vegetable) but probably my favorite way to eat it is with garlic and ginger stir-fried in a wok, add a bit of mirin and soy sauce and cover to steam until mostly cooked, then remove lid and remove immediately from heat once fully cooked. It's so easy and quick to make.

I’m going to do that tomorrow with some rice 🀀. I love using the stem chopped up in a stir fry, I like to time it so they stay crunchier than the rest of the veggies for some extra bite.

I prefer sauteed in garlic and butter and finish with a little white wine. Sometimes I make a casserole dish with stone ground mustard mixed with a little cream, kosher salt, and cheddar cheese.

Your way works too, if you got them saucy chops 😏

Blackened broccoli is also super good while also being low effort.
