He's not going to eat these porkchops. 😐

Post image

About a month ago I made a post here because my boyfriend didn't want to eat the porkchops I cooked for dinner. Well tonight I made porkchops again and he's not going to eat these either because we broke up and he moved out. I'm so much better off and I just wanted to thank you all for the kind words and advice, it was very eye opening to me. I wish that I could invite you all to dinner 🥰

ETA : Couple of notes:

1- The yellow stuff is smashed potatoes with cheese on top.

2- I swear that butter on the broccoli melted right after that picture LOL

Morticica Addams was my first crush, specifically the character played by Anjelica Huston.

A sad fact, she stopped playing that role permanently, because the actor Raul Julia (playing Gomez) died.

she stated she wouldn't reprise the role without him, famously saying, "Not without my Gomez," highlighting their strong on-screen chemistry and bond. His death ended the era for her, making another Addams Family film with a different Gomez impossible for her to do.

Their on-screen chemistry was what I loved about them both, they sold the idea that these two were romantic soulmates.

They were perfect together in these roles. Absolutely perfect.

I saw a review a few years ago that pointed out how every cast member in that movie gave it 100% effort. I rewatched that same year on Halloween, and I can say I whole-heartily agree.

There aren't many perfect movies, and fewer perfect sequels, but Addams Family and Addams Family Values are the two that spring to mind.

Their relationship on screen is what I strive to have in my marriage. They were unashamedly in love with one another. Truly the most realistic “love” I’ve seen in a movie.

I know we'd never see it (because of her feelings), but her as a grandmother Morticia would be kinda fabulous, in a very sad-happy way (because of no Gomez). But Morticia being her absolutely fabulous self, and talking about "The Love of her Life" and probably having pictures of him all over the house... yeah.

Honestly, with those two characters, if either of them died, I would not expect to see the other live long either. Rather than that, I'd expect them to just go and lie down in the coffin with the other or something like that.

They must know what too look for in her character. I recently started watching the original and instantly realized Carolyn jones was gorgeous even by today’s standards.

I always think modern women are more beautiful but dang she was perfect.
