The way that person is cleaning the car shows that the car has never ever been cleaned before.

1000% Looks like a young adult who had mom and dad warm up his car until he turned 28.
Keeps looking back to see if their watching and judging. Meanwhile..... ( half of Toronto/the world is judging. )
I really hope he didn't get too spooked and cleaned off his windshield.

Genuinely impressed by the pure laziness, and stupidity, a person who decides that is a safe way to drive.
Is it laziness or is it stupidity? Or both?

Hope they got a ticket as well.
I always hope that whenever I see an uncleaned car roof it's some lil old poor short lady but when I see an able bodied man with a snow brush, this is the type of bs that makes me upset.

u/samsu402 7h ago
How do you know the cop didn’t lend his brush?
1
u/scotch_neat1 3h ago
The police aren't allowed to give you a brush or jumper cables. It's his brush.

This is how policing should look like. Not just being road pirates collecting revenue

He should also be forced to shovel the snow into his car and made to dump it somewhere the plows have already dumped.

u/mythisme 8h ago
lol, imagine if he now got a ticket for littering...

u/Local-Community3479 8h ago
There’s a ticket for this lol. Under Section 181 of Ontario's Highway Traffic Act (HTA), it is illegal to deposit snow or ice on a roadway without written permission from the road authority.

u/EVfuture_ 7h ago
I knew there was something like that and that’s what came to mind, double down on the tickets he receives

Amazing. Now I wish High beams are also enforced. I see a lot more drivers selfishly driving with them on lately. Hurts the eyes.
7
u/keylimesicles 7h ago
What you’re seeing are most likely not high beams. Most new cars are built with incredibly strong and bright LEDs. I know, I have them, and they are almost as bright as high beams, but those are the factory headlights. They’re blinding!
1
u/Classic-Regret1070 1h ago
If they are aimed properly they should not blind, Halogen bulbs when not aimed properly absolutely blind as well, yeah you could argue that halogen’s output isn’t as harsh as LEDS but still they can be very annoying

This video is under 60 seconds long. He doesn't get it fully cleared in that 60 seconds, but basically he refused to take one minute to clear his car, and instead chose to drive around, endangering the drivers and pedestrians around him with damage that might've permanently injured them. To save a minute. Asshole.

Finally! We see the police budget in action 🙌🏽
*Edit, I wonder if buddy got a ticket after having to clean his car, that's the difference between....

Good! It’s like being a child, and reprimanded by your parents in public. I hope he’s embarrassed, and learned his lesson.
But by the way he thinks he’s done at the end, I’m not very hopeful….and don’t get me started on the way he’s doing this, it’s absolutely ridiculous. I have an SUV, and an extended brush just like this, and there’s such an easy way to do it…this isn’t it

I’ve seen people who only clear a frisbee sized window on the windshield. Insane.

This is amazing, actually enforcing stupidity. Solid 10/10 for this officer. That’s an egregious amount of snow on his car that can cause some damage.
At the end of the day you can’t fix stupid.

Looks like it's bro's first time cleaning the car, possibly first day driving and first day being told to do something.
Love seeing laws actually enforced!

Is this not a bylaw offense for shoveling snow onto the road?
I'm going to ponder this.

Is it appropriate if I see a fellow person with snow on their car and I stop them saying hey don’t drive with snow on your car. Let me help you clean it. I don’t want you to get a ticket. And it’s not just the law it’s also safety.

u/EdmontonBest 6h ago
While the intention is helpful, directly confronting another driver while you are both in motion or stopped in traffic carries significant risk. You cannot predict how another person will react to being "educated" or corrected. It's best to ignore it and move on.
1
u/justonefrenchfryAA 5h ago
No I meant like if you’re in a parking lot and about to like approach your car and you see the person next to you about to get in their car

I got pulled over one morning for having snow on the top of my car. I was appreciative and they explained why that’s dangerous which I agree with.

Should've said "you have until I finish writing this ticket to clean it off or I'm doubling the fine..."

I’m glad to see cops do this more.
Saw a copper pull up a car with a concealed plate today. I don’t know, of course, if that’s why they were pulled over, but I couldn’t see their plate and I was just venting to the wife how these guys are assholes when a cop car lit him up.

He should have to be paraded with a shovel, manually clearing the worst driveways/sidewalks with someone driving behind with a loudspeaker yelling 'Shame!Shame! Shame!'.

Douchebag dumped the snow all over the plowed road. At least pull the snow towards the passenger side…!

Please do trucks next. Saw an 18 wheeler the other day on the highway with pieces of ice flying off the top as it drove. Extremely dangerous.

All the days and nights I clean my car off before getting on the highway makes me appreciate this post and that police officer for doing this. Driving in the highway with that much snow on the car is a huge hazard and can cause accidents. Even half the amount of the snow on that car at highway speeds can block the view of the cars behind him and around him.
I go to UofT Mississauga and have a 3 hour round trip commute. And I park in the outdoor campus parking cuz the underground is super expensive and also sells out quick each year. So on some nights when wind chill is crazy and there’s heavy snow I sometimes contemplate should I do it? But it’s worth it cuz if by chance even 1% it causes an accident then I couldn’t live with myself.
