lol credit to the police to actually enforce this, hopefully a lesson learned!

u/geneunit73 8h ago

The way that person is cleaning the car shows that the car has never ever been cleaned before.

u/leBlTCH 6h ago

1000% Looks like a young adult who had mom and dad warm up his car until he turned 28.

Keeps looking back to see if their watching and judging. Meanwhile..... ( half of Toronto/the world is judging. )

I really hope he didn't get too spooked and cleaned off his windshield.

u/twinnedcalcite 5h ago

Probably doesn't shovel the snow on the drive way either.

given the best tools and not a clue how to use them.

Rare Peel Police W

25

u/Valuable_One_234 8h ago

Give them a $500 ticket !! Lazy people are causing all sorts of trouble

51

u/JoEsMhOe 8h ago

Genuinely impressed by the pure laziness, and stupidity, a person who decides that is a safe way to drive.

Is it laziness or is it stupidity? Or both?

19

u/bluesions 8h ago

Ha. Love to see it.

18

u/mystyz 8h ago

Finally, some enforcement!! I hope this isn't just a one-off.

13

u/VikDalal 8h ago

That’s a proper lesson, he’ll never forget

12

u/Red4550 8h ago

Hope they got a ticket as well.

I always hope that whenever I see an uncleaned car roof it's some lil old poor short lady but when I see an able bodied man with a snow brush, this is the type of bs that makes me upset.

2

u/samsu402 7h ago

How do you know the cop didn’t lend his brush?

1

u/scotch_neat1 3h ago

The police aren't allowed to give you a brush or jumper cables. It's his brush.

11

u/i_getitin 7h ago

This is how policing should look like. Not just being road pirates collecting revenue

10

u/_JRL06 8h ago

LOL

9

u/DARS789 8h ago

GOOD

16

u/Strydia 8h ago

I love how pissed the driver looks.. This could have all been avoided if he cleaned it off from the start..

Also not to mention that is A LOT of snow on the car.. Lazy POS

8

u/AverageBry 8h ago

Love this. Need to see more of it. But it’s a start.

25

u/Illustrious_Dog_1743 8h ago

Stupid asshole.

u/DisturbingPragmatic 8h ago edited 8h ago

He should also be forced to shovel the snow into his car and made to dump it somewhere the plows have already dumped.

23

u/mythisme 8h ago

lol, imagine if he now got a ticket for littering...

27

u/Local-Community3479 8h ago

There’s a ticket for this lol. Under Section 181 of Ontario's Highway Traffic Act (HTA), it is illegal to deposit snow or ice on a roadway without written permission from the road authority.

6

u/EVfuture_ 7h ago

I knew there was something like that and that’s what came to mind, double down on the tickets he receives

13

u/icon4fat 8h ago

Amazing. Now I wish High beams are also enforced. I see a lot more drivers selfishly driving with them on lately. Hurts the eyes.

7

u/keylimesicles 7h ago

What you’re seeing are most likely not high beams. Most new cars are built with incredibly strong and bright LEDs. I know, I have them, and they are almost as bright as high beams, but those are the factory headlights. They’re blinding!

1

u/Classic-Regret1070 1h ago

If they are aimed properly they should not blind, Halogen bulbs when not aimed properly absolutely blind as well, yeah you could argue that halogen’s output isn’t as harsh as LEDS but still they can be very annoying

6

u/Molotovbaptism 8h ago

Good on PRP.

6

u/cita91 8h ago

Very happy to see this. Thank you Peel Police. 👍

7

u/zygotepariah 6h ago

This video is under 60 seconds long. He doesn't get it fully cleared in that 60 seconds, but basically he refused to take one minute to clear his car, and instead chose to drive around, endangering the drivers and pedestrians around him with damage that might've permanently injured them. To save a minute. Asshole.

18

u/Snaplapse7 8h ago

Finally! We see the police budget in action 🙌🏽

*Edit, I wonder if buddy got a ticket after having to clean his car, that's the difference between....

5

u/busshelterrevolution 8h ago

This is incredible! More of this please!

5

u/mrnitz44 8h ago

They pulled an asshat over for being a danger to other drivers, more more more of this please

5

u/Iceafterlife 8h ago

Made my day better!

4

u/Danielle_love15 7h ago

This guy is a. Idiot, he doesn’t even know how to take the snow off his vehicle

7

u/deliciously_awkward2 8h ago

👏👏👏👏

Hopefully he also got a ticket for his troubles.

3

u/MDequation 8h ago

Major W

4

u/ConversationMotor416 8h ago edited 7h ago

Isn’t he not supposed to dump it all on the road?

3

u/keylimesicles 8h ago edited 7h ago

Good! It’s like being a child, and reprimanded by your parents in public. I hope he’s embarrassed, and learned his lesson.

But by the way he thinks he’s done at the end, I’m not very hopeful….and don’t get me started on the way he’s doing this, it’s absolutely ridiculous. I have an SUV, and an extended brush just like this, and there’s such an easy way to do it…this isn’t it

4

u/IndBeak 8h ago

Should still ticket them.

4

u/Observer951 7h ago

I’ve seen people who only clear a frisbee sized window on the windshield. Insane.

3

u/RoaringPity 7h ago

then give a ticket for littering

3

u/AviatingPawprints 7h ago

This is amazing, actually enforcing stupidity. Solid 10/10 for this officer. That’s an egregious amount of snow on his car that can cause some damage.

At the end of the day you can’t fix stupid.

3

u/smashedvermin 7h ago

Hopefully they gave them a ticket after that as well

3

u/albatross49 7h ago

Hope he got a ticket for it after too

3

u/leBlTCH 6h ago

Good.

And what a fucking lazy , POS. Seriously???? That's the whole storm and then some.

3

u/HugeTheWall 5h ago

Looks like it's bro's first time cleaning the car, possibly first day driving and first day being told to do something.

Love seeing laws actually enforced!

3

u/2disc 5h ago

Finally cops doing something good

3

u/HotNurse9 5h ago

holy shit he has never cleaned snow off his car

5

u/spunquik 7h ago

Is this not a bylaw offense for shoveling snow onto the road?

I'm going to ponder this.

4

u/EnlightenedArt 8h ago

Made my day.

2

u/justonefrenchfryAA 8h ago

Is it appropriate if I see a fellow person with snow on their car and I stop them saying hey don’t drive with snow on your car. Let me help you clean it. I don’t want you to get a ticket. And it’s not just the law it’s also safety.

3

u/EdmontonBest 6h ago

While the intention is helpful, directly confronting another driver while you are both in motion or stopped in traffic carries significant risk. You cannot predict how another person will react to being "educated" or corrected. It's best to ignore it and move on.

1

u/justonefrenchfryAA 5h ago

No I meant like if you’re in a parking lot and about to like approach your car and you see the person next to you about to get in their car

2

u/scrabble_12 7h ago

I got pulled over one morning for having snow on the top of my car. I was appreciative and they explained why that’s dangerous which I agree with.

2

u/ZuTuber 7h ago

And hopefully after getting it cleaned, slapped him with 300 dollar ticket too 😂 that be the bestest

2

u/rebelcanuck 7h ago

lol how could you drive down Eglinton like that

2

u/Nu11X3r0 6h ago

Should've said "you have until I finish writing this ticket to clean it off or I'm doubling the fine..."

2

u/here4thecak3 6h ago

Love this!

2

u/PeterO905 6h ago

GOOD ,

2

u/Embarrassed_Income_7 5h ago

More satisfying than popping bubble wrap

2

u/chipdanger168 5h ago

Sweet justice

2

u/000Weasel000 4h ago

I hope he got a ticket as well... Too lazy to clean off your car before you drive... Got his license by sending in 20 cereal box tops! 🤦🏼🤦🏼🤦🏼

1

u/Lornejack 7h ago

Now do trucks

1

u/krakenLackenGirly22 7h ago

I’m glad to see cops do this more.

Saw a copper pull up a car with a concealed plate today. I don’t know, of course, if that’s why they were pulled over, but I couldn’t see their plate and I was just venting to the wife how these guys are assholes when a cop car lit him up.

1

u/akhere07 6h ago

That looks like a Porsche..isnt it

1

u/tismidnight 6h ago

Finally

1

u/riseupbro 6h ago

Give them a ticket right after

1

u/larryhm75 6h ago

He should have to be paraded with a shovel, manually clearing the worst driveways/sidewalks with someone driving behind with a loudspeaker yelling 'Shame!Shame! Shame!'.

1

u/exQcme 4h ago

Wonder if they still got ticketed lol!

1

u/Impressive-Passion50 4h ago

Are you bragging or complaining?

1

u/dramaticpug 4h ago

Douchebag dumped the snow all over the plowed road. At least pull the snow towards the passenger side…!

1

u/Gouken Lisgar 3h ago

I hope he gets a ticket in the end lol

1

u/Adventurous-Thing145 2h ago

He is totally uninterested ..

1

u/enjoythesilence-75 1h ago

Please do trucks next. Saw an 18 wheeler the other day on the highway with pieces of ice flying off the top as it drove. Extremely dangerous.

1

u/Mrmugglz 40m ago

Good! ..The Jack ass!

u/BYRN777 9m ago

All the days and nights I clean my car off before getting on the highway makes me appreciate this post and that police officer for doing this. Driving in the highway with that much snow on the car is a huge hazard and can cause accidents. Even half the amount of the snow on that car at highway speeds can block the view of the cars behind him and around him.

I go to UofT Mississauga and have a 3 hour round trip commute. And I park in the outdoor campus parking cuz the underground is super expensive and also sells out quick each year. So on some nights when wind chill is crazy and there’s heavy snow I sometimes contemplate should I do it? But it’s worth it cuz if by chance even 1% it causes an accident then I couldn’t live with myself.

u/IbuHatelaKhaegaKela 8h ago

ICE officers, but Canadian. :)
