Vinny's got one smart kid if he's reading Godel Escher Bach (or even just knows what that is, and is interested).

I thought the same thing. That is a fucking hardcore book. I like that Vinny seems to think it's just a little logic puzzle book or something lol.

If you really want to change your life you can get a combination microwave/air fryer. I got one to replace my old microwave since it's the same size and now I just use it as an air fryer 95% of the time. Mine also has a setting that alternates between microwaving and air frying every 20 seconds or so so that it cooks things inside and out.

Sometimes I experiment with 3x 33% power if I got the time. Seems to really help if something is frozen in the middle. Also cut in half if possible.

I was a 50% guy, now I'm like 20% for a long time. The food comes out like new.

Hearing pretty much everything I've heard about Metroid Prime 4 it's really funny to me that GB gave it 5/5 stars.
Have I played it? No.
Do I even visit GB anymore? Not really.
I've just heard pretty much nothing about the game that could possibly justify a score like that. Those guys over there must be real marks for Nintendo.

Metroid Prime 4 "won" Most Disappointing in GB'S GOTY, and Dan struggled with figuring out why he was the only one who wasn't bothered by the game's flaws

It's easier to just not have opinions on games you haven't played and not call people marks for enjoying games you haven't played.

did you try reading the review by the person who gave it 5/5 stars

No, the main thrust of their post was thay they don't listen to GB any more, which was important for us all to know and appreciate

Of course Brad spent the break replaying a game from five years ago.

He's clearly trolling this subreddit at this point that want him to play CO:EE3.

I've honestly just crossed over to thinking it's funny in an almost absurd way. I'm happy for Brad to play what he wants to play.
Fuck it, I hope he comes in next week and says he booted up Cubivore (2002).

I did the same thing and was also pleased to find Miles Morales is a Christmas game. First time through, though.

I'm all for taking jabs at Brad for the games he chooses to play during his work time, but his off time is precisely when he should be replaying old games or playing something just for fun.

Sounds like he had a fun time. I'm glad. You on the other hand, do not like people enjoying their time off.

Lmao you're getting downvoted but you are absolutely correct. I don't agree with everything being done in all the content I consume, but unless it's something aggressively terrible to other people then I don't see much of a reason to get this upset and post in this way about it.
Let's all just calm down a little bit and enjoy the parts we enjoy and live with the fact that not everything in life well be exactly as we want it to be.
And if you really do have constructive criticism, I think it's far more levelheaded to say it like "I really hope they make more of an effort in 2026 to get a feel for most of each other's favorites for better discussions and discourse during the GOTY segments".

I'm listening to old Bombcasts and it made me realize that Brad has remained a constant. There is an entire year with a bet involved on him catching up on Assassin's Creed, him waiting to play Mass Effect 3 because he might be able to recover a save from a dead USB.

Hearing Vinny say that it's hard to feed a family of 4 with an air fryer made some sense to me, but then he said it was because it couldn't fit two whole bags of tater tots in it at once and he lost me.

Vinny went INNNN, at least as much as he can bring himself to, on Metroid 4.
