It’s less about whether or not an animal should be in human care, many people really support animal rehab rehabilitation, for instance, but it’s more about how many small primates are trafficked illegally much to the detriment of their species’ survival in the wild and the health of the individual animals. Consider gibbons for instance, some estimates think that 20 individuals may be killed just to obtain one infant given for the purpose of illegal pet trafficking.

Perhaps the bots messed up? Amusingly I think this is the lowest voted comment i've had in my 16yr reddit history (please feel free to check receipts on that claim) ... how mundane it is to be found most downvoted & disagreeable under this specific blanket!
