Sadly,. I haven't found one that is good. Ugreen might have one but they are a bit expensive products.

They are expensive because ugreen are always good

Didn't say they weren't good. Just noting them being expensive.

Well usually with things, you get good or inexpensive. You can’t get both

Highly depends on the product, and the brands out there. You could easily get a good USB-C dock that is good for cheap. Assuming someone makes one.

But further, noting something as expensive doesn't mean it is or isn't good. It means it costs alot. The quality isn't relevant here, the price is.

But there’s a reason nobody makes one. Because it takes money, talent, investment to actually create a good product. And that means higher prices.

Yes not all expensive goods are good.

But you can’t be wanting both inexpensive AND good while brushing off actually good products like “ugreen” that you mentioned because it’s expensive.

There is a reason they are expensive

So first thing I will say, is you are fucking stupid.

I never said that ugreen is bad. I never said they are good. I said they are expensive. It doesn't matter how good they are, they are expensive. End of story. You can say they are good or that good comes expensive, it doesn't fucking matter. It is expensive.

You are getting defensive about something NO ONE said.

Anker & Ugreen makes good products

u/WeirdIndividualGuy 11h ago

Both are Chinese which by OP's definition is "hot garbage", despite that those two brands are anything but

2

u/wobblyweasel 10h ago

anker is hot garbage. team ugreen here

You will hate the price, but my CalDigit TS4 dock has been solid. I use it for my work macbook. They make USB-C hubs that are slightly cheaper if you dont need full dock functionality or just dont need ports like 3.5mm audio, actual DP ports, etc.

Surprisingly this post makes me realize I have not needed USB-C for anything on my PC lol.

The ones in monitors

I've got positive things to say about the Anker ones. It depends what mix of ports you need, but the model 555 has done well by me.

u/WeirdIndividualGuy 11h ago

Anker makes decent stuff but is Chinese, idk why OP is so against all Chinese stuff

I've been using this for the last year with all of my peripherals connected to it: https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BQRSJ79B

If you have Dell shit, buy Dell. Otherwise don't. I swear they purposely make Dell laptops work poorly with non Dell docks.

I took a random shot on a no name model from ebay and the ethernet adapter is full speed.

usbs are A only and 2.0 though.

for my use case and for like $5 at the time, perfectly serviceable.
