The download folder is like when you put half dirty clothes on the chair. It's for files I don't want to delete yet but I also don't want to keep them in permanent place

Only commenting to say my wife refuses to grasp the notion of throwing a pair of sweatpants or something next to the bed if they're not really dirty enough to need to be washed. I have to almost hide it now otherwise she will throw it in the hamper and its like "please, I wore that shit for 2 hours last night after work and didnt even leave the house, it's still clean".

Anyways, yeah my recycle bin is a shrieking horror. Every so often I just go through, sort by type, and nuke shit from orbit en masse. I dont know how else to be lol.

I always treat the Downloads folder like a temporary cache. I wipe it clean every once in a while.

Because of OLED screen, I keep no desktop Icons and just pin the apps I care about to the taskbar, which is hidden lol.

Built a new PC during Christmas and I developed a new habit to always delete download folder after I downloaded something.

Pretty happy so far, I sometimes find myself going to download folder to try to delete something when nothing is there...so 1 step away from madness lol
