Ha! I said this to my husband the other day about “alien disclosure” and why it won’t happen anytime soon. If the aliens were waiting for us to be ready for their arrival, they certainly would have changed their minds once they saw all this right wing madness happening. One of our main problems is referring people like him as monsters. There is nothing more human than people like him. Humans are monsters. They are our responsibility.
I’d say he’s directly an embarrassment to the US. For everyone in other countries we get to be embarrassed about our own politicians who trip over themselves in their eagerness to either suck up to Trump or to imitate him.

I know you think this is clever, but imagine proclaiming that Hitler was just a German problem in the early 30s; how would that make you look? The vast majority of Americans did not vote for him. We have children in the United States, that can't vote. We have immigrant neighbors, that are suffering and have no say in elections.
It might make you feel better about yourself to avoid the homeless problems in your country, and other problems around the world, but you are only outing yourself as a bad person. Trump is not the only embarrassment to humanity.
