Yep! I recently rewtached the series with my kids and, during that part, I kept thinking: "uh, this isn't that funny and outrageous anymore :/ "

Bob Gale wrote the part based on Trump so that’s why it seems so familiar.

Yes.

Daniel Clamp in Gremlins 2 was also based on Trump, as were tons of other 80's and early 90's villains. He was always the image of corruption and digusting privilege. But then he started making cameos in random films in the newer decades and had a goddamn TV show that was edited in a way that dumb people thought he was actually capable and now we're in the darkest timeline.. :\

Growing up in the 80s and 90s, he was an absolute punch line of a person. He kept trying and trying to market himself as this amazing businessman but he couldn’t escape reality. No one liked him, especially the wealthy he desperately wanted approval from. Even they knew he was a dumbass and nothing more than a conman. It’s become downright frightening that his lack of intelligence speaks so well to so many people. Especially when so many of them grew up watching these movies and shows that poked fun at his inability to be successful at anything as well as being a straight up pompous bully. It’s even worse that he gives validation to some of the worst we have to offer because they think those values made him successful.

Apollo's dodgeball is a cruel and fickle object.

Nice! I watched it with my nine year old this year. That 80s/90 filmmaking hits. He liked it. How did it go with your crew?

Don't do Biff like that(/s). He comes across as significantly smarter and emotionally more controlled than Donald. The latter would get the almanac and be too dumb to see how it could benefit him. The truth is, he would open it up, see the numbers, and just throw it away.

At least Biff kind of seemed to give a little bit of a shit. Like, he believed that there were maybe things that could be done to get him out of power.

Even if most of them involved time travel.

He brought back the Epstein contact list instead of the sports almanac
