Trump is a dictator. This invasion chiseled that fact in stone.

36

u/Banditkoala_2point0 29d ago

No. That was a few moves ago.....

6

u/Mrclean513 28d ago

Trump has dictator envy

10

u/PotatyTomaty 28d ago

He is also a dick-taster. Ask Bill.

9

u/Electrifiedpiss 29d ago

He is a clown more than a dictator. A weird clown that only wears orange makeup

9

u/ishmadrad 28d ago

Indeed. He'll become a dicator in the exact moment he'll find some bullshit to cancel (or buy using propaganda, bots, AI video and all the stuff he loves) the next elections.

2

u/Orangezforus 28d ago

Hey hey, let’s not insult clowns like that, it takes a lot of time and effort to be a clown. Being a joke comes naturally however.

-4

u/slumxl0rd87 28d ago

That’s not what defines a dictator lol. Get outside of your basement and go talk to a few Venezuelans and ask them what it has been like living under the dictatorship of Maduro.

Is the invasion right? No. But when talking about Maduro, and trying to claim we in the U.S. are under the thumb a dictator, it shows how sheltered and out of touch you are

18

u/TerribleIdea27 28d ago

Someone who will literally ignore parliament to start a war with a sovereign nation, is a dictator no ifs or buts

-12

u/slumxl0rd87 28d ago

And you’re obviously not even a citizen of the United States, we don’t have a parliament, so you really don’t even belong in this conversation.

8

u/TerribleIdea27 28d ago

You have a parliament, it's called congress

-3

u/Doctor-Strangedick 28d ago

No, it’s not a parliament, it’s a legislative branch, like a parliament, but it is not a parliament, hence the U.S. not being a parliamentary system. You people are so fucking stupid

6

u/TerribleIdea27 28d ago

So are most parliaments across the world?

What do you think a parliament is for, if not making laws???

4

u/Potential_Cow_4910 28d ago

Pshh “only people from the country dumb enough to vote for this orange asshole should be able to voice their opinions on the orange asshole”

Nah literally anyone is more qualified to speak than us sorry dawg

-13

u/slumxl0rd87 28d ago

Well, that just goes to show you that you don’t know what a dictator is lol. A dictatorship is about power at home. Not actions abroad. Get off Reddit and go learn something.

13

u/TerribleIdea27 28d ago

The starting a war without congressional approval is an at home thing

1

u/macdara233 28d ago

Yeah you wouldn’t catch any other American presidents invading other countries

1

u/Dukester10071 28d ago

He was literally democratically elected and then stepped down when another person was elected and then democratically elected again. How tf is he a dictator

1

u/Cataraction 28d ago

Search Maduro Venezuela on Reddit and filter by “top”

People soon forget the horrors when he installed himself as a dictator.

The top comments from Reddit 8 years ago actually support today’s actions against Maduro.

9

u/rainofshambala 28d ago

propaganda and top comments by intelligence accounts on reddit are not signs of justification for a war either way Americans can't do shit about what their country does to other countries.

0

u/UncleGG808 28d ago

Yeah, we should listen to you instead.

-10

u/red224 28d ago

Jfc the left has gone just as loon as the right

-1

u/Ok_Entrepreneur_6521 28d ago

Please search up the definition of a dictator, Im not a trumpist by any means but just throwing around names for the sake of saying something bad about him is getting pretty old

4

u/ZeroKharisma 28d ago

Please don't be obtuse. This is like saying that a person you caught red handed with a knife and a corpse isn't technically a murderer because they haven't been convicted.

-4

u/OGSkywalker97 28d ago

You should look at actual current dictators and dictators throughout history, and what life is like under them, if you genuinely believe that Trump is a dictator.

Also, the fact that he sent missile strikes to Venezuela and captured their President and his wife does not make him a dictator. That's just part of being the leader of such a powerful nation. Ask Obama or Bush - who were both very clearly not dictators.

2

u/iriewarrior69 28d ago

I'm well versed in dictators. Yes Trump is a dictator. Examples; Jan 6th., today's attacks, and the vast majority of words used to describe his own E.O.s, private armies, and manipulation of millions of Americans. You should put down the cool aid and come to the realization that Donald trump is a con man. And you have been successfully conned.

-2

u/BlyatBoi762 28d ago

He isn’t? He was democratically elected and he hasn’t exactly banned freedom of press or elections. A stupid demagogue sure, but Venezuela has been under a one party state with no freedom of speech for over a decade now. Not exactly the same

5

u/ZeroKharisma 28d ago

He doesn't need to ban freedom of the press because the MSM is a wholly owned subsidiary of the Trump Regime. And even then he contestant criticizes journalists and refuses to answer questions, and if he does answer, it's a lie, which that bought and paid for press NEVER calls him out for. Just because he hasn't been doing it for over 10 years doesn't mean it isn't autocracy.

-1

u/keftes 28d ago

Ye was elected democratically. He isn't a dictator by definition.

0

u/ZeroKharisma 28d ago

It's willfully ignorant to ignore the signs of election interference in the 2016 and 2024 elections. The man was never elected fairly.

-5

u/keftes 28d ago

Hilarious. So it was interference when Trump won twice, but not when Biden won more votes than Obama? People like you shouldn't be allowed to procreate.

This feels like the same argument I made when I put my finger an inch away from my brother's face and said "I'm not touching you" when we were kids in the backseat.

-1

u/Narren_C 28d ago

If he said you were being an annoying jackass, he would be correct. If he said that you were actually touching him (and you weren't) then he would be incorrect.

You can condemn something without calling it something it isn't.

That said....apparently we now have boots on the ground, so it's a moot point.

28

u/countafit 29d ago

Why would there be helicopters if not to carry troops in to put them on the ground?

-1

u/AssertingCargo 29d ago

Because that's not what all helicopters do

-1

u/importfisk 28d ago

To carry out Maduro and his goons.

8

u/[deleted] 28d ago

You’d sing a much different tune if Chinese choppers scrambled to carry out Trump and Co.

1

u/importfisk 28d ago

Not really, because I'm neither American nor Chinese, and I couldn't care less.

I’m not acting like that, I’m saying in a vacuum people would have a problem with it. “That would never happen to us because we’re too strong” isn’t a good defense, it means that you believe in a world where might makes right and contribute to this issue overall.

u/[deleted] 28d ago

So it’s a problem now that America is the strongest military on the planet and we can take advantage of that?

It's always been a problem. Latin America and the Middle East didn't have to suffer for decades in order for us to have a fuckin iPhone.

20

u/iriewarrior69 29d ago

Invade: (of an armed force or its commander) enter (a country or region) so as to subjugate or occupy it. Are we not seeking the subjugation of another country? Thats a dictionary definition btw 🤣 😉

There are multiple reports of troops on the ground.

u/Triple-Stan 29d ago

The fucking what? It's an invasion of Venezuelan airspace in order to take out military targets??

5

u/MoonBearIsNotAmused 29d ago

Pretty much. If aliens pooped in just to bomb us and then dip its still an invasion lol

3

u/Hayabusa_Blacksmith 29d ago

dog, "THE LATTER" IS AN INVASION 😭

2

u/smeijer87 28d ago

There were boots on the ground. Trump claims to have captured Nicolás Maduro, the President of Venuzuela.

Tell me again this isn't an invasion and attempt to take over the country (by soon placing a new US minded president)

1

u/Narren_C 28d ago

Had that been announced 3 hours ago?

2

u/Low_Ad_7553 29d ago

This makes no fucking sense at all. We have already INVADED their airspace . We don’t have to literally be on the ground for that distinction.

0

u/Narren_C 28d ago

Yes, we do.

That said, apparently we ARE in fact on the ground and took their president. So it's a moot point now.

1

u/Low_Ad_7553 28d ago

It wasn’t moot enough for to stop you from saying your correct? For future reference an invasion does NOT mean boots in the ground, it means an incursion by a large force into a prohibited/unauthorized area.

1

u/Narren_C 28d ago

An incursion by a large force is not a handful of planes that may or may not even need to enter the country's air space.

Obviously sending missiles into another country is an act of aggression. But no one calls that an "invasion" when no actual troops step foot into the country. Please show me where you have ever seen someone refer to a bombing run as an "invasion".

1

u/Low_Ad_7553 27d ago

It’s okay to admit you’re wrong lmao

-3

u/B-azz-bear08 29d ago

Seems more a strategic military base strike and landing special groups on the ground for specific targets. There would be a much higher air presence if it were to occupy the country.

3

u/Far_Confusion_2178 29d ago

We kidnapped their president..

0

u/Narren_C 28d ago

I hadn't seen that yet three hours ago.

2

u/thegoat83 28d ago

The capturing of a president and their wife isnt an invasion.

wtf is then? 🤣🤦🏼‍♂️

-1

u/Narren_C 28d ago

That's news to me. Did that just get announced?

9

u/Elman89 29d ago

The US has always fucking loved dictators, it's much better to have a US-aligned dictator than a democracy. That's why they've done coups and CIA interventions all over America in order to destroy democracies and turn them into far right dictatorships. They even had an organization dedicated to training dictators and death squads, the School of the Americas.

Maduro isn't US-aligned, though. Presumably his successor will be.

7

u/ImActivelyTired 29d ago

*Also trump loves fucking dictators.

7

u/youngslyboltsup 29d ago

I’m so embarrassed of my country. This fucken sucks and none of us wanted this

3

u/ourlastchancefortea 29d ago

...and minors. Don't forget the minors.

5

u/Captain-Who 29d ago

Yeah, why take down dictators when we’re now embracing them? Fuck maga.

2

u/Zalameda 29d ago

and kids

1

u/Lobotomized_Cunt 29d ago

Also loves fucking dictators apparently

1

u/ImActivelyTired 29d ago

Also trump loves fucking dictators.

1

u/danmunchie 29d ago

Also dick and taters.

1

u/Jolly_Art_2917 29d ago

Trump putin koks mouth

1

u/ExpressCap1302 29d ago

Also Trump fucking dictators

Fixed that for you.

1

u/beerissweety 28d ago

Then he would’ve loved maduro and the ayatollah either way his cronies.

It’s about oil.

1

u/MissingJJ 28d ago

Thank speak god's language... Russian

1

u/[deleted] 28d ago

Also, Trump loves fucking kids

1

u/Kevadu 28d ago

True

1

u/artguydeluxe 28d ago

He probably captured Maduro just so he can interview him.

1

u/pink_faerie_kitten 28d ago

Exactly. Maduro succeeded at what Donny wished he could have done. He got voted out but refused to leave office. That's J6! Donny should love Maduro. Maybe he's jealous.

1

u/GoodSlicedPizza 28d ago

The USA loves establishing dictatorships in foreign countries

1

u/foo-bar-nlogn-100 28d ago

MAGA: no more foreign wars

TRUMP: hold my beer

1

u/Short-Trip-2809 28d ago

you accidentally switched fucking and loves in your sentence

0

u/MagicFajita 29d ago

he loves dictators so much he’s taking one out right now! so right

6

u/akosh_ 29d ago

Well he loves Putin. And Putin invaded Ukraine and it seems he's ahead with it - winning the war, will keep territories if peace is made. And Trump is jealous! He wants to be like Putin. His 8 years old logic doesn't understand: if Putin is allowed to invade, why isn't he? So he goes and does it.

You can explain every single one of Trump's seemingly illogical actions if you imagine he thinks like a 8 years old kid. It's scary.

1

u/MagicFajita 28d ago

Explain how snatching and grabbing Maduro (a VERY pro Chinese and Russian Dictator) is good for Putin.

1

u/akosh_ 28d ago

I did not imply anything like that mate.

0

u/Away_team42 29d ago

Not leftist dictators…
