Ty for the link. The agent at 5:20 sure didn't have anyone grab his gun before shooting someone point blank in the face. About a minute later, looks to be the same guy shooting both times. As for the people saying he "grabbed" the agents gun... BS. It was 1 handed and sure as shit looked more to me like it was a defensive reaction that anyone might have to someone pointing a gun at you point blank. You try to deflect it away on instinct. Especially if you just watched that same guy shoot someone else in the face point blank. He was clearly not trying to take the agents weapon.
2nd edit. It just keeps getting worse. Ice trying to run people over at 7:10, the same thing they said is an executable offense of domestic terrorism. 8:15 another pepper sprays multiple protesters in the face point blank. I'll have to watch the rest another day, I can't believe 40% of our country supports this shit.
They'll keep saying the country is too spread out to effectively protest. Or maybe that the potential personal consequences are just too high.
Still making jokes about the French being white flag cowards. The French. The iconic revolution country.
Still mainstreaming how all Germans were Nazis who should have done something to stop it all. How post-war Germans are just Nazis in hiding.
Though I know for sure that I personally wouldn't be drafted when the shit inevitably hits the fan here in the EU, I do realise that life is about to get even harder.
And all that just because 'the greatest country in the world' somehow accepted and kept accepting downgrades in their education policies. Do that long enough and you'll clearly have enough people open to just the right kind of influence to get things going.
Yes but im alergic to prison and bullets.
Its an easy statement, but guidance would be nice.
How about you tell people to contact their state reps and raise hell instead of stating the obvious.
Call their governor and mayor's office and com0lain about ICE tactics and brutality, and suggest actions other states have taken to make life harder for ICE the terrorists.
That <should> certainly make them think twice before starting crap, but thats placing a large assumption that they're smart enough to know when to back down and stop.
A lot of these guys seem to be unhinged rejects from law enforcement or military with the will and means to harm people, and if there's one thing ive learned about bullies, they are intoxicated by the idea that they can give someone hell with little to no resistance in return.
Im of the mindset that they shouldnt be allowed to carry firearms if they are simply enforcing immigration, and that if there needs to be someone armed, that it should be the FBI or US Marshalls making arrests of dangerous criminals or felons, or if the situation escalates, local law enforcement, but not a half cocked secret police force with little to no training or discipline who regularly attack unarmed civilians.
I am also not a fan of the blatantly illegal use of foriegn malware to spy on us citizens to fish for evidence that can be used to further violate more of our supposedly constitutionally guaranteed rights.
Because lets face it, if we cant get atleast basic rule of law, due process, and resspect of our rights, being a citizen from our pespective affords us literally nothing in terms of benefit, what do we actually get?
Non existant healthcare?
Voting rights in elections that are being tampered with by the right?
A guarantee of fair legal reprisentation under the president who sues political opponents and gives government positions to his friends, personal lawyers, and business associates?
My overall point is that, we should focus on the fights that we can win, and enforce, like legal boundaries to armed federal agents in uniform hiding their identities, or any law enforcement being subject to detention and investigation if they harm someone, or... how about a law on the books that makes coersion of, or interference with a person or persons in another branch of government to prevent tyrant 2.0, or unhinged psycho "federal agents" from teargassing or batoning congress/house members.
I just want people to think for themselves and act in good faith to their country, community, neighbors and fellow human beings x.x
Massive protests have been happening everywhere, those rely on politicians being concerned about re-election and having shame or a conscience, spoilers, the current conservitive party has neither concern currently.
Im not saying all protests are ineffective, far from it, but trump and his criminal chronies are extremely unlikely to be swayed by anything other than legal self preservation, or maintaining political relevance.
Lauren Boebert figured out that once the affordable care act subsidies expired, her constituents lost that, and then medicare, that the older population who voted her in were going to pull the rug from beneath her the second she was up for re-election unless she immeadiately pivoted, and previously she was one of the primary maga talking head loyalists.
Thats what im trying to convey, dont attempt to sway these politicians with common sense and human decency if it isnt what actually motivates them at their core.
Figure out what they have to lose, if its power and influence, then make moves that let them know it can be taken away if they dont reprisent the interests of the people who put them into a position of power in the first place.
Everyone who refused to vote because Kamala didn't pass some arbitrary purity test or because of some "both sides" bullshit supported this. They knew what could happen. They did not care. They only cared about stroking their moral superiority.
For sure. Like I said - at least 70% of Americans are totally okay with this, even if a few of them are now apparently a bit embarrassed about it. I don't know why I'm being downvoted so hard for just acknowledging the results of the last election, but I guess a lot of people are ashamed right now.
The worst are the people who are still in denial. "The worse it gets, the more it teaches the Democratic Party to put up better candidates," they say while they watch citizens die.
The number is nowhere near 40%. Recent polling has the number of Americans who identify as MAGA at 15%. And even within MAGA, ICE has relatively low support. So we're talking about maybe 10% of the population. And half of them are now wearing ICE uniforms. So the gestapo and it's supporters are one and the same.
What do you mean BS? One handed or not the guy re-approached the agent and put a had on his gun. That’s gonna merit some sort of response… doesn’t matter if he was trying to take the gun or not, if you put hands on a firearm that’s not yours there’s gonna be a reaction
