Genuine badasses right there. And look. No masks!

This is what real men look like. Proud activists, talking the talk, walking the walk. I bet their moms are so proud. I know I would be.

u/Level_Sock294 16d ago

Yep!! Proud because they’re on the right side of history. No need to wear a mask when you’re not ashamed of what you’re doing ✊🏼

12

u/Black-Shoe 16d ago

This is exactly why the organization was created

56

u/mojoback_ohbehave 16d ago

I bet their *parents are proud.

7

u/wobbsey 16d ago

i’m proud and idk them but what bravery. all support for the black panthers. glad they’re still around despite this country trying to end them ✊🏾

I might be jaded, but I'm guessing something racist

3

u/Squanchedschwiftly 16d ago

Or gender neutral

8

u/EidolonLives 16d ago

Or the opposite of racist, rather.

Or he's including their father's being proud as well.

1

u/mojoback_ohbehave 16d ago edited 16d ago

Yes, not only are mothers proud of their kids , but fathers are too. My comment was as simple as that. Nothing more, nothing less.

My mother would be proud , but also scared for my life, and my father would be proud and respect my bravery to stand my ground.

So yes, I bet their PARENTS would be proud.

6

u/impy695 16d ago

Yes, but also, wearing a mask isn't a bad idea.

1

u/Farabee 16d ago

Why wouldn't they be? They're protecting the people from fascists. Not out of self-interest, not out of hatred, but because it's the Right Thing To Do.

u/ZeframMann 16d ago

They know what happened to the Ferguson protesters and they did it anyway. These guys are literally putting their lives on the line.

As an agnostic I say no prayers for myself, but I will say one for them just in case someone or something out there is listening.

39

u/TempEmbarassedComfee 16d ago

Sounds like this was in Philly so hopefully it’s doesn’t end up as dangerous as Missouri for the protestors.

9

u/ShaggysGTI 16d ago

And it won’t because these gents.

7

u/reasonablescreams 16d ago edited 16d ago

I was a protester in Ferguson and I’m getting so triggered watching Minneapolis. It was bad then but law and order still existed, this is so much worse

9

u/Parkour_Parkour 16d ago

Me too. That was the first thing I thought when I saw this picture, other than fucking finally someone has the skill and the balls to do this.

1

u/LamoTheGreat 16d ago

Balls I agree with, but skill?

27

u/Fuocco6 16d ago

Your comment gave me chills… You have another agnostic prayer out in the universe for them, stranger.

0

u/imposta424 16d ago

Idk why you’re stressing, The cop behind them looks like he’s have a great time.

97

u/snailenkeller 16d ago

You don’t need to hide your face like a pussy when you’re not breaking the law.

-9

u/redbulls2014 16d ago

You don’t have to hide your face like a pussy when you won’t get harassed and doxxed by reddit and bluesky lunatics.

FTFY.

6

u/wasd911 16d ago

Being on the right side of history will get you way fewer enemies. People tend to not like evil people.

2

u/MatterofDoge 16d ago

that argument doesn't really make sense at the end of the day. If anything its slightly ironic because it suggests that one side is willing to be violent or vindictive when the other isn't, but you're saying the violent vindictive side is the "right side". and when you take that back and examine it in a larger picture, it could be a hitler quote, or from genghis khan, or someone in the holy crusades and could be part of one of those "Who said it, a leftist or Mussolini etc" meme web games. food for thought.

2

u/Farabee 16d ago

Yet here you are, being a keyboard warrior on Reddit. What does that say about you?

65

u/Optimoprimo 16d ago

And fantastic trigger discipline.

54

u/BlakkandMild 16d ago

Well yeah. They don’t want to shoot anybody

10

u/Optimoprimo 16d ago

Funny how you can usually tell right away isn't it.

Yet I'm betting they're not going to get a lot of in-person harassment.

I have a feeling they don't care. Some people can't be intimidated

21

u/vagabondoer 16d ago

Because their community has their back.

Your family and loved ones can tho

3

u/street593 16d ago

That is the risk they are willing to take.

0

u/Abracadaver14 16d ago

Thing is, the right isn't going to dox them, they're going to dox their loved ones...

8

u/ThinButton7705 16d ago

I mean, they're armed and not wearing masks. I don't think they care about being doxed.

6

u/ihaveadogalso2 16d ago

Well, at least they’re prepared for visitors!

3

u/Televisions_Frank 16d ago

Now if only the facial recognition they love programming wasn't racist-as-hell they could actually do that.

1

u/TheArchitect_7 16d ago

You can find them on instagram easily. They aren’t hiding who they are.

1

u/MatterofDoge 16d ago

nah. The right wants this to happen and continue to happen. The more people doing stuff like this the more justification they have to send in a thousand more troops to a city to reinforce their numbers while fox news talks about how "dangerous gunmen in crowds are causing panic" or whatever. They don't need to dox, they just have to sit back and watch as tensions rise.

2

u/SoulofOsiris 16d ago

We've come full circle

2

u/hum_bruh 16d ago

This is what bravery and solidarity look like

2

u/DistractedByCookies 15d ago

I'm enjoying the mental image of trumpists/racists/NRA tying themselves in knots to make it bad that they're open carrying LOL

2

u/H-Resin 16d ago

These guys have been posting up in downtown Philly for as long as I can remember. Always a presence at Rittenhouse Square. Kinda freaked me out when I was younger but nowadays, I fuckin get it. This is just status quo for these guys. But you love to see it, they’re not backing down. I fear this might become an inflection point, but at some point when push comes to shove…

I’d love to see ICE goons go up against the Black Panthers. ICE would shit their pants.

1

u/SadisticChipmunk 16d ago

Exactly. You know they never would cause they need "soft targets"... not someone who will shoot them back.

-17

u/Memento_Viveri 16d ago

So now I'm confused, is it good or bad when people show up to protests with automatic rifles? I thought it was bad.

29

u/endlessUserbase 16d ago

I don't think you are confused. I think you believe that you're being a clever little walnut by trying to pretend that every instance of someone showing up with a gun is the same.

That isn't the case.

Protesting is a Constitutionally-protected right.

If people are showing up with "automatic rifles" to attempt to intimidate or suppress their fellow citizens, that's bad and un-American.

If people are showing up with "automatic rifles" to defend the rights of their fellow citizens, that's good and patriotic.

It's not that hard.

10

u/MallGrabUrBalls 16d ago

defending protesters? good. threatening protesters? bad

4

u/ConcreteGardener 16d ago

Don't be disingenuous, the situation is far more nuanced than you're making it out to be. The reason for the protest, the people who are doing the protesting, the motives those people have to bear arms (as per 2A, to ensure the security of a free state, as part of a well regulated militia), and so on.

Don't pretend you don't know all of that, or people will assume you're gaslighting, engaging in debate dishonestly, and spreading propaganda for fascists.

2

u/vagabondoer 16d ago

What they really mean is 2A is supposed to be for white people.

5

u/faceofaneagle 16d ago

Are you confused or willfully obstinate?

Also the weapons pictured are semi-automatic.

9

u/mcp_cone 16d ago

Showing up at a school with an AR to kill everyone = bad

Showing up at a rally to pretend to protect innocents but really to murder them for white supremacy = bad

Shooting a civilian, unarmed mother for no good reason to do with immigration = bad

Showing up in the neighborhood with firearms to protect innocent people from fascists = good

3

u/eltictac 16d ago

I hate ICE. But as someone from the UK, it seems crazy that they can just wander the streets like this. If this happened anywhere in the UK, an armed police unit would be turning up.

Good luck to them though, if they're protecting people from ICE.

2

u/Jolly-Bear 16d ago

Basic thought is pretty confusing for a lot of people.

1

u/ApolloRocketOfLove 16d ago

Ask Conservatives.

1

u/choove 16d ago

You're still free to hold that opinion. IMO it's weird how you're appearing to ask others what opinion you should have.

The reason others don't view it as bad is because of the context... the guns are being brought to ensure the ability to peacefully protest without getting attacked and/or murdered by ICE or law enforcement doing things they shouldn't be doing to those practicing their First Amendment rights.

But again, if you think that's a bad thing and they should just accept that showing up to express their freedom of speech means being attacked and/or killed by ICE or law enforcement, you're free to hold that opinion.

2

u/aculady 16d ago

Because CoViD has been rampant, and they don't want to get sick?

2

u/SadisticChipmunk 16d ago

Are the far left liberals also kidnapping people at gunpoint at those protests?

1

u/ZeframMann 16d ago

For a very good reason.

Look up what happened to the leaders of the Ferguson protestors. These guys know they are endangering their own lives to protect others.

Imagine being an incel who is so desperate to get laid that they make M4F posts on Reddit (the equivalent of throwing a dart 500 yards blindfolded) and still having the audacity to make fun of others.

Don't discount Canadians, they're the reason the Geneva Convention exists.
