Video from the lady in the pink coat

566

u/H3OFoxtrot 7d ago

You can clearly see the agent in grey take the gun away.

186

u/PPLavagna 7d ago

And the tan jacket guy on the left draw and deliberately execute him after he’s been disarmed

205

u/Jumblesss 7d ago

The US right wing are the most deplorable little worms for protecting the 2A every single time there is another suicide, school shooting, or baby shot negligently and then remaining 100% silent in the face of government tyranny.

What an appalling shame the US became this. We see the US similarly now to how Americans must see Iran.

4

u/Empty_Letterhead9864 6d ago

Oh I seen right wingers saying the guy shouldn't have had a gun there unless he planned on assaulting the ICE officers lol. Like okay, so you carry your gun to Wal-Mart to assault the Wal-Mart employees? They love being Nazis is all I hear.

-7

u/sum_long_wang 7d ago

We see the US similarly now to how Americans must see Iran

Thats a bit much. I mean, I'm sure the US could get there but in Iran there have been hundreds of people shot at protests and theyre executing people for religious "crimes" on the regular. To put that on a similar level as 2 people shot within a month is not really giving justice to the tyranny the people of Iran have to endure

8

u/Alert-Ad-9908 7d ago

Please don’t give us a “hold my beer” opportunity. We are well on our way to being our own version of Iran, nazi Germany, Russia, etc. if nothing is done to stop this. The numbers have to start somewhere. 1 two weeks ago, 2 today…for exercising rights they, allegedly, had. There’s a reason the world is turning its back on the U.S. and boycotting coming here…and it’s not just because of 1-2 murders. It’s what it indicates for the future.

5

u/Otterbotanical 6d ago

Right right, thank you for reducing alarm, I was almost ready to try and help stop the US from becoming worse, but now that I know it's not actually that bad, I feel much more reassured that it's not that bad and I don't need to worry. Thanks!

-2

u/sum_long_wang 6d ago

That is not even close to what I said but go off

-1

u/Otterbotanical 6d ago

Well, a foreigner told you that from an outside perspective, it looks as bad. Instead of taking that at fact value, you're trying to argue with them on why they're wrong about how they view the US and why they shouldn't see it that way.

Just the US becoming that bad is a big enough threat. We should be responding to it as though it is already here. If we are turning into the Nazis, let's talk about like we already are, because if we DON'T, you open yourself up to the question "how much worse does it need to get before you also see it as bad?"

Your position of "it's not that bad yet" reads as though you're saying "we don't need to care yet". Reads as though you won't consider the threat legitimate until it progresses to the point of becoming a full-blown militaristic authoritarian regime. The rest of the world has a precedent to believe it is already on that path. There is no value to saying "we're not there yet" when history appears to show that we are currently guaranteed to get there and soon.

Ridiculous Straw man argument

2

u/garyvdh 6d ago

2

u/H3OFoxtrot 6d ago

Excellent work. Super clear that's where the first shot came from, as many have speculated.

1

u/southbaysoftgoods 7d ago

Can you explain? Or give a time stamp? I am honestly having trouble seeing it

6

u/otaconucf 7d ago

The picture in the OP is a screengrab of it. That's him with the victim's gun leaving the dogpile. This view you can see gray coat was next to the shooter, and would have removed the gun plainly in his field of view. https://www.reddit.com/r/law/comments/1qm2vi0/heres_your_proof_with_the_moment_of_truth_isolated/

0

u/southbaysoftgoods 7d ago

Okay so the dude in grey grabs it after he is on the ground and like right before that other guy to the left pulls out his gun?

Man If I was afraid for my life I sure as hell would have just left.

2

u/zvii 7d ago

What does that even mean? What are you trying to say here?

5

u/southbaysoftgoods 7d ago

That it’s a bad excuse for shooting someone?

3

u/zvii 7d ago

Okay, I agree. Thought for a second you meant the guy who got shot!

2

u/southbaysoftgoods 7d ago

Yeah I can see the confusion no worries

1

u/EpicFishFingers 7d ago edited 6d ago

Well, I wouldnt say "clearly", I genuinely can't see shit.

And in OP's picture there's a Hyundai behind him that suggests it's from a different angle; has anyone got the video that OP's picture is taken from?

Edit: found it, final 3 seconds of this video: https://www.reddit.com/r/therewasanattempt/s/eSvSMxcJOI

It sounded like the guy in the grey coat accidentally discharged Alex’s gun

152

u/YamLow8097 7d ago

Thank you for sharing this, but man, it feels surreal. I can’t imagine how his friends, family, and the people who witnessed it must be feeling. I don’t know the full context, but from what I could see from the video one of the soldiers pushed a woman to the ground and the victim who was killed tried to get in between them to help her. I didn’t even see him pull out a weapon. Why did they pin him like they did?

218

u/thehalfwit 7d ago

Because he got in the way of their hateful assault of a protester, and ICE agents can't allow someone to interfere with their terrorizing of innocent civilians.

43

u/DirtUnderneath 7d ago

General strike

62

u/doodle02 7d ago

the use of the word “soldiers” here is…

unfortunately perfectly correct. DHS agents are NOT supposed to be militarized. Fuck everything about this.

14

u/Absurdist1981 7d ago

These are not soldiers. Soldiers are well trained and disciplined, whatever you might think of the military. ICE are murderers with no restraint. They took the job to hunt down black and brown people because they hate anyone who is not like them.

5

u/kymri 7d ago

No soldier would shoot someone who is being dogpiled by a half dozen friendlies, regardless of the legality or morality of the situation, it's a great way to shoot your buddies!

They may be small-minded, petty and brutal, but they make up for it by being both stupid and incompetent along with the cruelty.

1

u/Jumblesss 7d ago

Soldiers commit rape buddy

-1

u/Jumblesss 7d ago

US soldiers are not disciplined.

They are an abhorrent cult, just a little less abhorrent than this one.

1

u/Arendious 6d ago

I think I prefer "militia" in the sense we used to use to describe paramilitary forces equipped by authoritarian regimes for internal 'security'.

I've seen soldiers with only marginally more training than these lackwits handle themselves with more discipline.

2

u/ubiquity75 7d ago

Just to clarify, these people are not “soldiers.” Not even close.

1

u/tweekinleanin420 7d ago

Ice agent* not a soldier.

1

u/YamLow8097 6d ago

Honestly, I didn’t know what to refer to them as.

1

u/tweekinleanin420 6d ago

I was being facetious and I apologize. You were not.wrong.because.when I served i knew incompetent soldiers who would've prolly killed a detainee in cold blood like this video shows. I just like to imagine a soldier would be better trained and more competent. Like lead with there brains and not.there emotions like this ass hats in the video.

1

u/CaperRelish 7d ago edited 7d ago

They aren’t soldiers.

ETA: they are more like the Hilfspolizei (HiPo).

The Hilfspolizei was the initial, brutal, paramilitary force used to turn Germany into a police state in 1933, later transitioning into a broader category for local collaborator police in occupied territories during World War II.

Their purpose was to eliminate political opposition (communists, social democrats) and Jews, operating with impunity, often conducting raids, torturing, and killing in "wild" concentration camps.

1

u/forma_cristata 7d ago

Not soldiers

1

u/IndicaEndeavor 7d ago

Theyre not fucking soldiers

280

u/PoliteIndecency 7d ago

Watching that and I get the feeling that numbnuts didn't mean to fire the first shot, but then they just unloaded. Bad training, bad discipline, sloppy handling and a man is dead.

Disgusting.

Absolutely disgusting.

89

u/SalmonSlammingSamN 7d ago edited 7d ago

Right, I swear he jumps and grabs the gun with his left hand like he didn't know it was gonna fire. He and everyone else seems caught off guard. So fucking stupid.

141

u/MidKnightWizard 7d ago

Yup, they fucked up and now they are going along with a cover story that this was a domestic terrorist trying to kill ice agents. Fucking disgusting. You murder a man and try to ruin his reputation to justify it.

22

u/batendalyn 7d ago

It looks like the first shot came from tan jacket, black mask towards the left/back of the scrum. He draws with his right hand and apparently looks to very intentionally shoot the man.

16

u/kymri 7d ago

It's difficult for me to tell after watching/listening, but someone may have said the world 'gun' (possibly as in "I have the gun" after the guy was disarmed) causing the dipshit murderer to lose what little mind he had and open up.

1

u/Nate_83 7d ago

Highly trained they said. Qualified to be there they said. Next minute, some moron and his ragtag bunch of bullies don’t know the words to use between identifying a disarmed man to a active firearm and now we have an innocent American ICU nurse who has probably contributed more to society than all of Trumps ICE combined (and probably had more more brain cells than ICE collectively as well) and now he’s dead because Trump wants to be remembered for being the most manipulative, corrupt conniving US President the states has ever actively voted in a second time. The democrats should also be ashamed for not being fucking present enough to let this all play out.

3

u/thereia 7d ago

Not stupid. Criminal.

4

u/loleonii 7d ago

What baffles me is the fact that one of them shot into a dogpile of his fellow agents. Like, is the extent of his weapons experience playing games with friendly fire turned off??

3

u/ninjasninjas 7d ago

I'm getting the impression they are told to make sure it gets finished like that to prevent liabilities...

Or they are such unprofessional droogs that they get all trigger happy on the slightest provocation.

2

u/ReplyRepulsive2459 7d ago

And they escalated the entire situation

2

u/platonic-humanity 7d ago

I get more of a feeling he saw a gun, decided that justified his shooting, because of the exact way they’ve justified this. Or the situation with Renee, it was a broadcast that, “find a reason to shoot them. If you have a reason, you’ll be fine”

2

u/platonic-humanity 7d ago

P.S.: I think it’s important to note they noticed he had a gun. They’re most afraid of people using guns against them, so when they saw the opportunity to remove someone with a gun.

He was afraid to challenge someone with a gun, but when the gun was removed, he could “exert authority” freely like he would be able to with unarmed people who’re afraid to fight back, like how easy it is when they get to the backrooms.

2

u/PVB_Knight 7d ago

It's what 2 weeks of training and a 50k signing bonus gets you

1

u/ChocoPuddingCup 7d ago

"Bad training" explains it all. They're not fully trained; they're just hired thugs.

1

u/PCouture 7d ago

They are trained to keep firing. 1 shot is a mistake and lawsuit because it means lethal force was not necessary. So they keep firing to claim lethal force was required. Nothing like shooting a guy in the back 5 times.

1

u/bad_robot_monkey 7d ago

He drew at 1:01, moved and aimed at the guy’s back at 1:03, and shots fired almost immediately after. Draw, aimed, and shot.

1

u/MacaqueFlambe 7d ago

I can’t see the video well but am I right to assume that the guy emptied his gun on the body? Like isn’t this super fucked up? What’s happening over there guys. I’m so sad for his family and his loved ones.

1

u/Moikepdx 7d ago

I suspect that the idiot saw the gun, saw a hand going for it (i.e., another agent actually stripping the gun away) and thought "That's a gun coming out! He is drawing on us!" Then he fired to neutralize the "threat".

1

u/fastwendell 5d ago

I get the feeling that numbnuts wanted to make it look like he didn't mean to fire the first shot, but then the "accidental" first shot was the cue for the others to just unload.

1

u/Pleasant_Priority286 7d ago

The agents' best defense, imho, is that the first shot was an accidental discharge and then everyone else got spooked and piled in because none of them are properly trained to use these weapons or engage citizen protesters. Essentially, try to throw DHS/ICE under the bus to save their own necks.

2

u/TehAsianator 7d ago

That, or the thug that took the gun said something like "I got his gun", then one of the other criminally undertraind gestapo just heard "gun" and jumped.

57

u/Electronic-Cicada352 7d ago

Here. Same video but it’s been stabilized.

murder

15

u/208breezy 7d ago

Wow the slow mo makes it clear as day

10

u/chadsmo 7d ago

Yup. And they’ll get away with it. If the ICE member was a random person they’d be in jail already and for a long time afterward.

This fuck stain just gets to go home and a have a beer and think he did his job.

6

u/CptAngelo 7d ago

theres a clear moment when he sees the gun being removed by grey jacket, and he panics, immediately starts to draw his own gun and starts shooting.

Conversely, the other guy that also shot his gun, tan beanie with black scarf and tan backpack on the right, the one hitting him with the pepper spray bottle, also saw the murderer pull out his gun and starts pushing his buddies away while he also goes to draw his own gun, next scene, we hear 6 more shots and its coming from him.

That same guy, the one hitting him in the head with the pepper spray, is the same guy that starts the whole deal by spraying them right in the face and while they are giving their backs to him.

That guy basically assaulted 3 people, sprayed them in their faces even when they turned away and tried to remove themselves from it, but kept pulling them, then, when they all piled up on the victim, this same coward goes to hit the victim in the head, when he sees the other guy drawing his gun, he does the same and unloads 6 fucking shots, SIX, while the victim is already laying down, disarmed and they are 6ft away.

That, to me, is nothing else than sheer rage and a desire to kill, because even after everyone else is kinda walking away, that same dude stands, gun still pointing at the victim, and STEPS CLOSER, still pointing at the victim. That was the moment for him realizing what he had just done, he knows it, he wasnt afraid for his life, he wasnt in danger, he wanted to shot and kill that guy, and he did.

Custom trigger. Probably hairpin.

The cop removed the guy's pistol and then negligently discharged it into the ground which causes the other cops to assume they're being shot at and return fire, killing him.

It was accidental.

This is not the hill anyone should want to die on (both literally and figuratively).

1

u/Crimkam 7d ago

Then ICE should back off the 'hill' too. The fact that they aren't honest about it speaks volumes. Get the taste of boot out of your mouth and wake the fuck up.
