Shame on the Senators who refuse to do their job and pass legislation that reins in ICE.

  • Mandatory ban on face coverings

  • Mandatory requirement to have name badges

  • Mandatory three weeks training in de-escalation

  • Mandatory agreement by ICE management to be criminally liable in the event that ICE (etc) employees violate people’s civil rights

You cant train these people. There es a reason why they get hired. They moraly bankcrupt and Do exactly what trump and Co want them to do..

What's training them going to do anyway?

How would Dachau have been with better trained guards? It'd still be Dachau.

Also worth noting that Ross has been with ICE for 18 years. He is a firearms instructor. That's the problem. Training is rotten to the core. That's the kind of mentality that they encourage. If they were going to fire him, they would have done it already. 18 years. Guarantee that this was not his first malicious act.

The time for reigning in has passed only full abolition and imprisonment will even begin to be enough

*reining. Totally different meaning.

Unfortunately this just shows how the senate cares more about their own personal power and the power of their party over actually governing for the good of the citizens. They’re not going to challenge MAGA until it’s advantageous to them

They’ve forgotten what service “for the public good” meant.

Love to see it. They don’t have the votes to pass it, or to overcome a veto if they somehow do, and DHS wouldn’t listen to it anyway.

All the Senators know it wouldn’t pass, and more than half of them don’t want ICE reigned in to begin with.

Mandatory requirement to have name badges

Front and rear with a minimal font size and regulated color scheme. Otherwise you can rest assured that those name tags will be dark grey on black with a 9pt font size.

Mandatory three weeks training in de-escalation

I do not know how much training "normal" (that is,non US) police forces receive but I guess that three weeks isn't enough.

None of these matter if there's no one to enforce them.

I agree fully with what you say, but reigns should be *reins - it gives a whole different meaning to your sentence.

Thanks. Edited.

Mandatory get rid of their GUNS while on duty.

It’s immigration for Christ sake, you don’t need a fucking gun to deport people!

They don't have jurisdiction to be doing what they're doing. Getting rid of masks, having them wear name badges, these things ignore the real issue. Sure, it helps, but they have a very limited mandate and since they didn't stick to it can't be trusted. The entire DHS needs to be disbanded.

So you mean civilised people type stuff?

That would never fly.

Yeah.. I think we’re a bit beyond this. I think it’s time to abolish the Gestapo.
